These were a gift for my daughter that makes her own sourdough. They work wonderfully for stirring the starter and they clean up very easy with COLD water. These were are essential for mixing. Nice quality and fast delivery which was helpful.

I'm a Sourdough baker and I have seen these spurtles advertised. Thought I'd give them a try. I am also a kitchen gadget geek. Since stirring the starter can be quite the challenge,I normally use an Acacia wooden spoon. However, the "Spurtle" is a pleasant surprise. They fit nicely in my hand and are light weight but very effective. The super sticky Sourdough starter drips right off and very easy to clean. Buy them! Now if you will excuse me, there is cawfee to swill. And a Sourdough monster to feed. Always forward y'all.

This is a great dowel for sourdough. I just started my sourdough era and it is so easy to use these! So much better then the. Back of a wooden spoon! Looks so clean, is the perfect size, fits perfectly into my jar, and nothing seaps through the wood. So it’s so nice n

LOVE THEM... got them to mix my sourdough starter works very well on getting the clumps out would have given it 5 starts but from cleaning them they are starting to fade just scared its going to start splintering

These are quality pieces. I use these several times each week when making sourdough bread and other sourdough bakery items. They clean up nicely with a paper towel to get rid of all of the sourdough starter on them before giving them a good scrub with soap (sourdough starter should never be put down the kitchen sink drain). These are my “go-to” to stir sourdough starter. Highly recommend them.
