Don't Waste Your Money
I have had this for a couple of months now. It seems to work OK but has a number of problems, particularly for the non technical minded of us.First off, it is not that easy to assemble. It doesn't come with its own mounting pole like the equivalent Davis product does so if you want the outdoor unit to be self contained you will have to buy your own pole. In the end I went for a TV areal mounting kit which works fine but it did take a while to get everything properly mounted and working. However, the biggest issue I have with this is that it simply will not connect to my PC to enable me to download data so that I can do historical tracking. I have tries everything, including the Oregon scientific software from their website (there is no software in the box) as well as a couple of third party pieces of software. Absolutely nothing works.I have emailed the Oregon Scientific customer support people numerous times over the last few months to try to get some advice. They have not had the courtesy to respond to any of my emails which I find quite appalling from a customer service perspective. My advice would be that if you are going to buy an Oregon Scientific weather station, then don't waste your money on this expensive model as hardly any of the "added benefits" actually work. Go for a WMR 88 or similar which is what I "upgraded" from.and save some money. The WMR 88 works fine as a fairly basic weather station which is pretty much what I have now with this expensive model. If you are looking to spend this kind of money then I would recommend looking into a Davis which are similarly priced but do seem to have much better reviews.
