Not even close to being fiberoptic cable, it's a cheap piece of clear 3d printer filament. Complete waste of money.

I have this already in purple and blue white comes out a little bit yellow so it's not my favorite but it works beautifully runs a little hot so I give it 11 volts instead of 12

So still like the product, but much dimmer than expected, If you are just planning a couple feet this would be ok, but at the full length this only is a very low level of light, it still is a nice feature, just very muted. Also this fiber optic cable is thick and needs a fair gap to install, I'm using mine around a Pano roof, so not bad but if you are thinking of a dash install in the gap it might be tight, depending on the model. Mine came in the expected time frame and was in good working order, has a connector to disconnect and nice heavy gauge wire for the 12v.
