Great on paper - just doesn't work.
I really wanted to this to work. I needed a solar powered light for the ground floor entrance of our townhouse. To run electrical would have been costly. To work as a replacement for an AC powered lamp it would have to be at least 300 lumens. Gama sonic makes a 300 lumen solar lantern but not one with a motion sensor for lo - hi. Also, they're ridiculously expensive. On paper the XEPA has everything I need: solar powered, lo - hi motion sensor, and doesn't look like a prison or shop light. The first one, I got would only light up on full power, meaning by 1am it's dead. I returned it. The second one, the motion sensor in Lo - Hi would only stay in low. Returned that. The 3rd one, the solar sensor is so sensitive that the ambient light from our street light would prevent it from turning it on. So I'm sending that back. It probably would've worked fine in the country or someplace without street lights. But in the city or suburbs where you have LED street lights that are brighter than previous sodium vapor lights, they need to lower the solar sensor by at least half. It's a real shame as no one makes a strong, solar powered, decorative lantern with a lo - hi motion sensor that doesn't cost a fortune. I makes me wonder if XEPA tested this at all in typical American situations before selling them to the US market. They really shoot themselves in the foot by getting something to market without properly calibrating for their market or having the ability to calibrate the solar sensor. When it did work, the light it emits was strong and a pleasing warm color, not the clinical cool LED color that I ended up going with on a more industrial looking unit.

Great lamp! Easy to put together and does what it's supposed to do. Not super bright, but solar lights never are. Here it is, not quite a year later and I have issues. First of all, the battery is supposed to last 2 years and mine is already shot. Also, the post comes in three pieces. The bottom piece is discolored as if the finish has worn off. Not happy!

Great working and looking lamp. Well worth the money.
This lamp is really nice. Just take it out of the box and mount it on your 3" pole. Lights already in it. Works great. Puts off a real night bubbly looking light.

Bought two and received them in July and now only one of them is working. I really liked them but didn't make it 6 months before one of them stopped working. Is there replacement parts or something I can fix?

The item looks good however I noticed a very loud rattle coming from it,I called the company that sells it and was told that the battery pack most likely had broken loose and that it was o.k. for me to try to secure it.However the unit has never worked as advertised. It never charges properly and I only get 1 or 2 hours of light after a full charge in the sun. I will be returning this item.

Unit worked well and then dies. Opening it up and no replaceable batterie which is strange for solar lamp posts. Emailed manufacturer and emails bounced back, think they are no longer in business. Guess they consider a 99.00 post a disposable item.

Love These Lanterns
I bought 2 of these. Difficult and cumbersome to hang, but finally got them up. The small screws did not work well, so we have to provide our own to get these to hang sufficiently.

SUPER CUTE!! Let there be LIGHT!!!
I love them!! Much cheaper than having an electrician wire for lights. Still had to hire someone to install them but at fraction of the cost. On the brightest setting I get 4 hours of light, but the motion only works if it's on low. On low I've been able to get 7 hours. The only con is that the motion detector is kn the left side of the lantern so if something movies on the right it doesn't go off. I wish the detector was on the front
