4/25/25 Apple iPad Pro 13-Inch (M4) - space blackI have had this device for a couple months. What an amazing device. I can not find a flaw. An ipad is an ipad. but with the hardware included in this device makes it so close to a laptop, but will never be since the software isn't built for it, at least today.butter smooth even after 11 months after release. battery lasts my day of use usually drained down to 40. fast charging at 20w. Super thin and durable. I still wouldn't sit on it.The first oled screen, one that I have been waiting for. amazing and crisp.I didn't get the nano matte screen because in the past when I have used matte screen protectors it lowers the brightness.

The new iPad Pro is an excellent device. The reduced thickness at first seems unnecessary but after holding it for a while this becomes a welcome enhancement. The device feels solid despite the thinner design. It works well as expected and battery life is at least as good as any prior version. The OLED display offer excellent image quality and a wide range of brightness levels. I appreciate having the toggle switch to limit charging to 80%. The space black finish matches my MacBook Pro exactly. The Apple Pencil Hover feature is a nice addition that allows you to see where you’re pointing before tapping (the mouse pointer follows the pencil tip in Sidecar mode, too).The center back of the device can get uncomfortably hot under some scenarios, such as working with layer masks in Adobe Fresco. I’m guessing this is an app bug as the iPad never gets hot, or even warm, at other times.

This iPad is outstanding. This thing is powerful and you can practically do anything on it. Multitasking is extremely easy. You can watch your programs while working on your homework and ordering a pizza without missing a beat. And the sound is second to none. Great product.

It’s rare for a device to make you feel like you’re holding something from the future, but this iPad really pulls it off. The first thing you notice is how insanely thin and light it is. Seriously, when you’re holding it, it almost feels unreal—like a sheet of glass with superpowers.The Ultra Retina XDR display with tandem OLED is on another level. Everything looks sharper, brighter, and the contrast is so deep that even the darkest colors feel alive. Whether you're watching content, editing photos, or just browsing, it’s a premium experience all around.It’s a powerhouse. Everything runs fast, smooth, and effortlessly. From video editing in LumaFusion to working with large files or even gaming, there’s not a hint of lag. And with Apple Intelligence support on the horizon, it’s clear Apple is going all-in on the iPad as a serious creative and professional tool.

Great machine, thought I should try this to compare it too my gen2. I do like the lighter version, seems much more compact! As I use both in comparison, the oled is nicer, but not +$1200 nicer. Granted the weather channel loads 15 seconds faster, and the pencil pro is simply amazing! But for the cost of 1 mortgage payment at my dwindling age, I can afford the time to wait 15 seconds. And with my vision, the original iPad gen2 can stand next to this new oled quite well. Apple makes things so nice at the beginning, unless you have extra $, or a real need, the products stand the test of time. Wish my 69 y.o. Body was built by apple, haha.

Consequently, I decided to gift the iPad to my friend and purchase a new one instead. Typically, I opt for the iPad Pro with the highest memory and cellular data options. However, my carrier, T-Mobile, was only offering a deal on an iPad at the time. They would have applied the credit to any iPad product in the past, but this time, they refused. Therefore, I saved a significant amount of money by purchasing the iPad from Amazon, which already takes a percentage off the top. This was the most favorable deal available for an Apple product.To further reduce expenses, I opted for an iPad without cellular data and the highest memory capacity. Given that I already subscribe to Premium iCloud services, it made no sense to pay for the highest level of memory.In summary, I made a wise decision by purchasing the iPad at a reasonable price. The iPad itself features several improvements, including the M4 processor, a thinner design, and upgraded cameras. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase.While I typically purchase my iPad Pro through my carrier, which comes with a subsidy, I am retired now and occasionally consider commuting and traveling. However, my travel frequency is limited, and I can easily connect to Wi-Fi at home, restaurants, or other establishments.Logically, I was able to save a substantial amount of money by purchasing the Premium Apple product and opting for the iPad without cellular data and the highest memory capacity. I am very pleased with my decision.Although I could have potentially saved even more money by purchasing the subsidized iPad nine, I would have ended up paying more due to the monthly fee.In conclusion, if you decide to purchase an iPad, it is essential to get the Magic Keyboard case and the Apple Pencil Pro, as they complement the product and enhance its functionality.
