4U Rack Rails

It's always cheaper to DIY your stuff, and this is absolutely the best thing to DIY. This thing comes with EVERYTHING. Enough M6 bolts and cage nuts to populate the entire rails, and a whole extra bag of thick wood screws to drill the rails into something. I did not use the woodscrews, instead using dropnuts to secure them to some aluminum extrusions to make a 10 inch rack. I have no complaints besides the screws being philips head, but cage nuts are replacable, so stripping or crossthreading isn't an issue.

Rails work fine with the included cage nuts - but the holes aren't big enough for RackStuds which is a huge bummer for me, measuring at only 8.6mm wide.

These are quick and easy way to add rack mount holes to drawers, cabinets, or furniture without much fuss.This is also sturdy enough to hold a small server (~10lbs) without any rails. Rails should probably be added if the server is >20 lbs or is very long.Note that these should probably be mounted the inside of the opening so that the opening is not blocked off by the sides of the furniture.

this is a small set of 4U rack rails. They are pre drilled with holes on the side of the rails so that they can be screwed to the inside of a cabinet or shelf or some other wooden frame. They include all the hardware from mounting your equipment onto the rails. This is an inexpensive and easy solution to installing rack mountable equipment into furniture.

Seems like decent quality metal but it arrived bent and scratched.
