Prestige Cool Coat for Dogs, M, Purple

I already have this jacket in SMALL for my Chinese Crested Powder Puff Which is a little bit too snug so thought I’d get her the next size up for this year. Huge mistake! It cost me £34.99 and in comparison to the SMALL it it huge! When I purchased it I was expecting it to be a couple of inches bigger than the small but when measuring it up to the small jacket, it comes up nearly 8 inches longer and the same, around 8 inches, around the chest! It does not have a size label sewn into it but on comparing it to the small I would say that this one was an XL, and got put into a bag with a MEDIUM info insert! To add insult to injury, when I requested to return it I was told that the cost of return postage would be deducted from my refund!!! Totally unfair considering the jacket is not what I was lead to believe! Extremely dissatisfied with this purchase from start to finish!

Four stars so that you read it, I usually don't read 5 stars myself as I imagine they might be made up... this does deserve 5 stars. BIG RELIEF, it's lilac, not pink as it appears in the photo's... it's a bit too big for my average border terrier but the collar turns back and why worry about it hanging over his tail a bit? Cold drops doesn't it? After it arrived it turned cooler but, today is hot and he's panting. So, I wet it, put it on, he rolls up against the walls a few times, lies down... I notice he isn't panting anymore... goodness, he's napping already! It works really quickly, what more could we ask for? Brilliant... it really does work.Sylvia

Do not be fooled when package arrives and coat is stiff. When put in cold water it is soft and cold. It lasts a good few hours with just 1 dunk in cold water.Keeps your dog cool even in the very hot weather.No panting from the dogs when this coat is on. It looks Super-Cool and the Dogs really did appreciate the coats. THEY WORK. A bit more expensive than the other dogs cooler coats but these stay cooler for much longer. I have tried the other versions but THIS IS THE BEST. Highly revommended.

The material on this product is superb and really retains the moisture, but why oh why are the Velcro straps so long and so ineffective. The stiffness of the material makes home adjustments very difficult and on my slim working cocker the coat is often under her tummy and causing a trip hazard! With a very slight redesign (shorter, broader straps and broader velcro) this would be an excellent product. Meanwhile will suit overweight chunky dogs only.

it does cool our golden doodle well, but it does not fit very well - its a bit like a blanket as opposed to a coat. We had to sew up the chest strap to fit him and tie up the front strap as it tends to come undone on the velcro. it does fit on the length of the dog, so if we got a smaller size, it would have been too short.i more realistic score would be 2.5 rather than 3.

I bought a small for our small Cockerpoo and a medium for our Samoyed x ..The sizes are a little short on their backs but I think the large maybe too long for the Samoyed..The medium was a bit too long on the Cockerpoo but saying that there not winter coats and only ment to help cool them which they do..Both dogs had a good hair cut to help keep them cool too..They are both girlie girls and love been dressed up 😍

A must during the summer for anyone who works their dogs.soak it, squeeze excess water out and place on dog.they do dry out in the sun so require soaking again every 45 mins to an hour.once finished with, i rinse it out and place in a carry bag (still wet). this saves it stiffening up and cracking the next time you use it.

I've only given this 4stars due to the fact that I have not been able to used this coat to its full potential. I got this in a Medium for my Westie and it was too big for her (read the measurements before buying!) it was well packaged and arrived the next day on Amazon prime. I shall be ordering a small one for my Westie!
