Got to have red butcher paper like the YouTube BBQ-ers!
I've been trying various methods to replicate American BBQ meats without buying a crazy-expensive smoker (or a welder and some oil drums!). All my attempts have failed and I'm sure it has been because I haven't had red butcher paper like all the YouTubers. But now, check me out! I'm sure red paper will make all the difference, right? RIGHT?

Seems to do what its supposed to
I ordered this to try out the 'American' way of barbequing meat, part cooking then wrapping in the paper to finish off keeping the juices in, and it seems to work ( disclaimer I have only done 2 BBQ's with this technique ). I'm hoping for more or at least some better weather to try out more things.Maybe the only minor downside is that the roll is perhaps a little on the narrow side for larger cuts of meat (I have managed ok though with a smaller cut of brisket) but can be wrapped with several layers as its a long roll. The juices do saturate the paper but it seems to hold them in and not let them run out and therefore keep the meat succulent.I need more practice but there is enough paper on the roll for quite a few cooking sessions.

Good paper but too narrow
This is decent paper but quite narrow when compared to other paper I've used. This means that wrapping large pieces of meat is a challenge. You have to layer multiple sheets so getting a decent wrap is tougher. Not bad by any means but it's not as good as some others.

Great Quality Butcher Paper
I recently got into low and slow BBQs and wanted to get some smaller butcher paper. I've got a much larger sized roll which suits things like brisket, full racks of ribs and pork shoulders. However for smaller things, have found that I'm wasting a lot of paper. This is great quality paper and so far I've enjoyed using it on some steaks. It's a long roll and for smaller things is going to last me a long time. Recommended.

Good quality butcher paper, smaller for larger size stuff
This is a good quality butcher paper which excels in its soaking capabilities. Another standout feature of this butcher paper is its strength and durability. Unlike other papers I've used in the past that fell apart when soaked with oils and food juices, this high-grade butcher paper stays intact. It's perfect for Texas Style BBQ, where the paper needs to hold up under intense conditions. Another big plus is that this paper is uncoated and unbleached, meaning there are no harmful chemicals or coatings that could leach into your food during cooking. Beyond its use in grilling and smoking, this paper is incredibly versatile. I have also used as a placement for pizza and grilled items. While the 12-inch width is perfect for smaller cuts of meat and a variety of uses, it can be a bit limiting for larger items. I found myself needing to overlap sheets for wrapping bigger briskets, which is not a deal-breaker but something to be mindful of.

Large quantity of food safe paper
I used this twice when air frying chicken portions. Both times, the meat juices soaked through. The second time, I had doubled it and the juices went through both layers. So for me, this is really butcher's paper. Food safe paper that is good for wrapping meat or meat which is a little wet, but not for containing fats, dripping, juices. If you just hold it briefly under a tap and wet it on one side, it does not leak through to the other side. So it is a good meat, cheese, food wrapping paper. I personally don't see any point in using it for cooking if everything soaks through. Not containing juices, keeping things below clean - so what is its function then?Hope that helps!

good butcher paper but make sure you are getting the right width for your intended use
this is nice butcher paper, i'm really pleased with it and think it works exactly how I want my butcher paper too when using it for a cook, but at 30cm I would struggle to wrap the larger cut I tend to cook when smoking bbq meat. so i'd just caution a little care when deciding what size you need based on the item you'll be wrapping it in.for smaller items though this is ideal and should last you a very long time which makes it a very good deal at this price point in my opinion.
