The best bulbs
These are just the best. They’re a 1500-lumen bulb, and they come in A19 instead of the larger A21 size that basically no longer needs to exist now that we’re not using burning filaments to make light anymore, so they fit pretty much anywhere that expects a medium-base Edison-style bulb. The color rendering is superb, up there with the best bulbs out there. They even *look* nice, with their glass rather than plastic shell; a lot classier than the typical design if your bulb is going to be exposed. The killer feature, though? Dimming. First, these are the most cooperative dimming LEDs I have ever encountered. They will happily go from max brightness to “so dim you forgot it was on” (Much lower than 1%) without any trouble at all, no flicker, no nothing. Short of an actual incandescent, this is the most natural, trouble-free dimming I’ve seen in a lightbulb so far. Even better, though? *The color temperature gets warmer as they dim.* You know how with incandescents and halogens, as you turn them down the light they give gets warmer and more orange in a really pleasing and natural-feeling way because the filament isn’t so hot? And you know how LED bulbs just… don’t, because the blue LED driving the white light always produces the same wavelength of light regardless? Well, these bulbs aren’t like that. They run two sets of LEDs, one with a cooler color temp than the other, and they blend the light to make a nice 2700k, 95CRI “warm white” temperature. But as they dim, the cooler set of LEDs dims first—so the overall light coming out of the bulb becomes warmer and more candle-like. The effect isn’t nearly so pronounced as it is with an incandescent or halogen bulb, but it’s there, it’s noticeable, and it’s nice. These aren’t smart bulbs. They have zero “settings.” They aren’t configurable, they don’t communicate with anything, there’s no “dimming program” or “color temperature option” here. They just work like a normal, old-school, incandescent bulb—still the gold standard as well as light quality and predictable behavior—only they do it while consuming 1/10 as much electricity, and they’ll do it for years and years and years without burning out. These will likely even outlast most of the lamps they get installed in, and certainly most lamps with built-in LEDs. LEDs themselves will generally last decades, but the lifespan of the *electronics that power them* is a matter of how much the manufacturer of the product cared about quality vs. price. A lot of cheap, commodity lighting that you get on Amazon and elsewhere has a good chance of just dying sometime within the first few years, in a way that is basically unfixable. These are a flagship-grade Philips product though, and based on how well they handle dimming, I feel like someone put actual effort into the driver design; which would have had to be a custom one rather than OTS anyway, since I doubt there are many OTS driver units that do WarmGlow. Phillips has the expertise to do that, unlike a lot of no-name brands that are just putting together a design, finding a factory that says “yeah, we can make that” and then shipping with whatever compatible components happened to be cheapest and most available at that time. So, anyway, these are quality. I like them. If you aren’t interested in smart lighting, and just want bulbs that work like “normal” old incandescents only without the drawbacks (power consumption, dangerous amounts of heat, short lifespan) then these are going to have you breathing a sigh of relief.

Really Good Old Light Bulbs For The Home Here!!!!!!
The old light bulbs are really cheap here. They are soft white color when they are on. They don't flicker when I use them in the living room and at my work desk too. They are really bright 100 watts of lighting brightness illuminated power for the house. These light bulbs last 6 months long when useful at home. It has no noise when the light bulbs are on at home. They work really great when lit because it's really good lit all of the time at home too.

THE BEST
These are indeed the best led A19 bulbs around. I bought them a couple years ago based on a YouTube comparison review (whoever did it-thanks!). I get the impression though that they are getting hard to find. Buy them when found.

These do not last long
These bulbs look great at first but then quickly become dull/yellowed, flicker between normal and yellowed, or completely fail. Quickest fail time was about three weeks, mode is about 2 months. I’ve been monitoring these bulbs since May 2025 (it’s now late Oct). So far 9 of the 12 I purchased have failed. They were from two separate packs. Perhaps it’s only an issue with a bad lot. But I do not want to purchase more to test. The first bulb lasted just 3 weeks. Thought was a single defect. The others have lasted past the return period. When they go yellow I just move them to non “important“ areas of the home.

Run these bulbs in the whole home
I run these bulbs everywhere I can indoors. The warmth and light quality seem good for the price. I still like Hue White Ambiance to be able to specify color temperatures. But for other permanent fixtures, especially those on dimmers, these are my go to.
