I spent a fair few hours reading reviews for many wax jackets, before finally decided to purchase this one.I'm a teaching assistant, and as winter gets closer, a warm, water proof coat is a necessity for playground duty, and all those trips to church, fetes etc. I also wanted it to double as a durable dog walking coat, so nothing too fancy, but still smart enough!I am a size 16/18 and would normally go for an XL to make sure I could wear thick jumpers comfortably underneath, but I chose the large based on other reviews saying they sized big.I'm glad I did! The XL would have buried me!The large fits well, with ample room for a thick jumper, but it isn't so big that I look like a sack if spuds!The length is perfect, sleeves a little long, but great for cold days/nights. The coat is so warm and cozy, and much softer than a previous (very very expensive) wax jacket I had, many moons ago.The fit of the coat actually flatters my figure, I'm very bottom heavy, and drawn in waists really do look dreadful on me, so I love that this hangs well, skims my hips just enough to show I have some, without making Beyonce herself jelous by clinging to my rather well pronounced backside!Yet to test it in the wet, but I am sure it will do the job perfectly, the quality feels great, and it certainly appears to be much more than light shower proof.Just a side note, I read a few reviews saying the detachable good wasn't included - check the pockets!Arrived 48 hours after ordering, very happy with my purchase.

This is a great coat, well made, warm and waterproof, and, I would say good value for money. However, whilst this says Campbell Cooper wax jacket, the label inside is Greenbelt. I ordered this coat in olive for myself in a small (i am a 14 and it fits perfectly) and as my husband also wanted a wax jacket, I ordered his from Wholesale Workwear (also on Amazon). When my husband's coat arrived, it was also a Greenbelt and was EXACTLY the same only in a large, and I only paid £21.88 for his. So, even though I think the price for this is reasonable, when I want the blue one I will save myself a bit of money and order from Wholesale Workwear.

Well I've only tried on but looks and feels sturdy. I know people have said huge. It's not on me. It's a man's jacket I'd say as sleeves quite long. Not too long just cover wrists and halfway to knuckle I'm too heavy and large chested. Size 22 at present woman's sizing and I know an xxl man's fits or unisex. It fits and certainly does not drown me. Nice deep pockets for poo bags etc. There is an inner pocket. Good length as goes midway between thighs and knees(5ft 5ish). Nice dark green. Will update after use.Update. As only wore a few times at beginning of year when bought. However been wearing last few months for dog walking in rain, wind, freezing conditions. It keeps all elements out and I'm warm in it. Sometimes too warm. It's not the lightest jacket but u wouldn't expect with a waxed jacket. Seems sturdy. Zip nice and strong. I got XXL as I'm quite large on top. Ladies 22 at that time and fine and probably ok 22 to 24. Quite long which I like. I'm 5 ft 6 and goes between top of thigh and knee. Probably 6 inches above knee so coVers your arse. Good for the money. Defo recommend. Very pleased.

This is definitely sized way too big, when I read the reviews I got a size smaller than usual and it was still huge! Not so much because of the fitting but because it's padded really thickly aswell. So another coat in that size may be ok but the extra padding really makes it look huge. On the bright side though its so warm and comfortable, has good sized pockets and is perfect for walking the dog.

For the money this is a cracking jacket . I wanted a wax jacket for the Mrs (size 8-10) as her expensive branded one doesn’t go past her hips , so she was always complaining she was cold and wet . After reading all the reviews it seemed this is a both sex jacket so went for the xxs . Fits perfect in the body . Arms are ever so slightly short . But for what she wants is perfect . Next size up might have been better but not worth changing it . Fantastic value for money although it doesn’t have a collar strap like some others . Lovely and warm. Bargain

Unfortunately I had to return the jacket because of the size which was much, much too big. I usually take size XL but having read the comments of other customers I ordered L. The sleeves were very wide and too long for me, I looked like a giant wearing it. It's a pitty! It cost me a lot of money because I had to pay for shipping from England to Poland and back, which was over 20 pounds. The jacket cost 39 pounds so it wasn't a good deal.

This is a fantastic warm sturdy and quality waxed coat. My only problem with it is that it is way too big :-) I am a size 10/12 and fairly skinny so I ordered a XS. I should have ordered the XXS. The XS fits me like a L would. I think the coat is unisex so maybe that's why the sizes run bigger than your normal Ladies' sizes. That said, it is wonderful for this stormy autumnal weather and I will still use it around the farm as that was the main reason I bought it.. to walk the fields and be outdoors in all kind of weather conditions. If they made a Ladies version of this which is a bit more fitted I would buy another one as a Barbour replacement.. it is that good!

This is a well made jacket, thick well-waxed cotton material. I am a size 16 with a 40" bust but narrow shoulders, following the comments on here I ordrered the medium but it came up very big across my shoulders. I was going to return it but it actually fits my husband who is size large usually and is a 43" chest in a t'shirt and 45" chest in a jumper. He can wear it with a jumper underneath. It is quite long so on me it reaches my knees (but I am only 5'1" tall) reaches mid thigh on my 5'8" husband.In a dilemma now about whether to risk re-ordering the item in a smaller size for myself as it is a nice coat. I have suggested that they put a size chart with actual garment measurements on the listing to help with sizes.
