defective design
Bad design. It sits to high... my lid has a grove not a lip and the unit is as high as the bowl wall, so the lid wont fit back on. I just installed this for the first time and it leaks right off the bat. Although there is a gasket, the plastic is so flimsy it doesnt prevent the water from leaking out in 3 seconds, so it is not functioning as it was designed (to chlorinate the sitting water). This is a defective product.

Works well
Installed this a couple of weeks ago. Has done a very good job since installed. I have seen no difference in the effectiveness when compared to brands I have used in the past - Clorox, 2,000 Flushes, Great Value. It has the odor of chlorine bleach. It's noticeable, but hardy overpowering. Much preferred by me than some exotically perfumed competitors (I can hardly fathom those who buy the blue-dyed version of these products - a bowl of sickly green water after urinating seems like some kind of punishment for having to pee in the first place. And putting a Lavender stink on top of pooh and feeling good about one's life seems like insanity to me.)So...It does the job it's manufactured to do and does it well at considerable savings over other products of this type.

Leaks and deterioration after short period
The media could not be loaded. Update as of 12/30/24: It got worse. Now the hose sprung a leak of spurts water out of the side. One of the worst products I have ever purchased. Dropped from 3 to 1 star. Should be 0 if possible. Not recommended unless you want to continue buying the entire bundle instead of just tablets. Container leaked from day 1 and it is bleached white all the way through. Tube is now rigid as if it is dry rotting. It does keep the bowl clean for sure but you will need to deal with the constant smell of bleach. Quality assurance failed

Very Strong Odor, Way Too Much Bleach
I bought this and a similar product by NeverScrub! which is more expensive. So I'll do this in more of a comparison review.Value:- The KSend is cheaper at about $10 and uses standard toilet bleach generic pellets.- The NeverScrub! uses their refill cartridges that are filled with bleach granules, the refill cartridges are around ~$5 each and are supposed to last up to 90 days -- however the cartridges are easily disassembled, and you could likely break up some generic pellets to refill.Quality/Construction:- The KSend is Made in China and the plastic feels noticeably more flimsy. You have to really screw down the cap or higher pressure water systems will cause it to leak.- The NeverScrub! is Made in USA and the plastic feels more reinforced/rugged. You also need to make sure to secure the top as needed. It also doesn't hurt to put some hose clamps on if you have high pressure in your water lines.Function:- The KSend pushes water through the housing and then directly out the other side into the outlet tube, because of this wide-open design you tend to get a powerful smell of bleach in the toilet, and the bowl water is noticeably "yellowish" from the bleach being in the water.- The NeverScrub! uses a more restricted path with the water flowing in the bottom, getting pushed through the bleach granules, and then back out into the area where it leaves the housing. I didn't notice any strong smell and it seems apparent that there's not as much bleach being dispensed with this design (a good thing).- Both seemed to keep the bleach from getting in the upper basin assuming they're properly secured and installed. Conclusion:Given the fact the NeverScrub! design seems to meter the bleach better and feels like it's built to last longer overall, I'd have to recommend going with that design -- I relegated the KSend to the guest bathroom just because of the strong odor.UPDATE - 2024/06/17:Reducing the star count. These KSend units lack a sufficient design to prevent backflow of the bleached water that sits in the container, this can cause it to flow backwards into the inlet tube and soften that plastic. In my case, that tube had a flow restrictor (by design of the toilet system) on it which the water fused shut. I noticed it when the toilet stopped filling to the proper level.

Great concept, cheaply made, doesn't last.
Update: 3 star...the bleach tabs eat through the plastic and tubing making it brittle and break. 4 star...the concept of this! The quality is not as good as I would have liked. It leaks/drips a bit and don't open it to put a new tab in while the toilet is running. You'll have a hot mess lol Works to keep toilet cleaner. You can smell the bleach a bit but that's clean. It was easy to install and fits.

With a little help, works pretty good.
Leakage: Yeah, the unit leaks a small bit. In no way a deal breaker.Cleaning: Like NeverScrub, keeps the bowl pretty clean."Fixes": I've never cared for having my bathroom smell like bleach, so I did not use the provided tablets. I also prefer a colored solution so I can tell by sight that the tablet needs replacing. So I bought the blue scrubbing bubbles tablets, which fit in the canister pretty well. Only problem is the water pressure in most toilets will blow them apart pretty quickly so they'll only last a few days in a well used bathroom. To fix that, I 3D printed a small cup that the scrubbing bubbles tablets snugly press into, which then fits inside the canister. This makes the jet of water pass over the tablet instead of through it. The tablets now last 2-3 weeks, which is a bit better. I imagine the water pressure will eventually wear down my thin little cup, but after about a month it is still 100%.
