Libre Computer Board Heatsink for ROC-RK3328-CC (Black)

Works great and fits perfectly!

The RockChip is a hot little beasty, so you need some sort of cooling. Since Libre had this for sale right next to the Renegade itself there in the Amazon store, I added it to the cart. I run quite a lot on my Renegade -- an Apache Cassandra database, Nginx to serve up the database via web APIs, and a Python stack, as well as the PyCharm IDE for developing Python code. This keeps Renegade nice and cool through all of that.

Fit perfectly and keeps the processor cool.Just be careful when installing it: the self-adhesive pad holds the sink nicely in place, but it takes a lot of pressure on the spring-loaded snap-fit pins to get them through the holes on the PCB and one of them is very close to the extremely sharp pins on the 40-pin header. When the pin finally goes through the hole, it does so suddenly and it's important that no part of your finger be over that header when that happens (as I learned painfully).

It lowered the temperature of my CPU by 20 to 30 degrees. It takes a little effort to install this because holes in the system board are just the right size. I am happy with the performance of this heatsink.

I am running a headless Raspbian image on my board. Immediately dropped my temps from 45 idle 55 with octoprint container running to 32 idle and about 45 with octoprint running. I didn't like how hard it was to push the tabs into the board, it was a little concerning but its on now with a little pushing.

This was purchased as a present for my teenage son. He is happy with how it performed.

This heatsink is designed to fit the ROC-RK3328-CC board and includes two spring-loaded, plastic push pin anchors to hold it in place. Perfect!
