Construction is solid. The green I purchased was a beautiful color just like the picture. Wheels are heavy dute and should let quite a long time. I am using this as my memory box as I have outgrown my previous boxes. This thing hold my whole life and as such it is heavy AF. Only thing I wish was that the handles were more padded because when it's heavy the current handles tear my hands up.

HEAVY! Very sturdy with tough leather handles. A bit much for a woman to pick up and carry—even when empty. You definitely need two people to carry up the stairs, for example. The wheels really help with the loading/unloading, but you only have the snug leather straps to pull, so pivoting around corners is awkward. Of course, these aren’t designed to be carry on luggage, and I’ve no doubt that this will last a lifetime and put up with whatever abuse they receive.

Arrived on time, which was great. But overall quality is underwhelming.I unboxed the Rhino trunk this morning, so all of these defects are sadly quite obvious. I’m sure I would pick up more problems after using it for any length of time.Right out of the box, the absolute worse part is that the lid does not close evenly. On mine, the right front corner of the lid stays up when the lid is closed. Clearly, it’s warped, either from the factory, or because of impact during shipping,(the box did have a big rip in one corner.) But still, if it was impact from one trip in a ‘protected’ cardboard box, it speaks to the durability and construction.I probably would have requested an exchange just because of this, but unfortunately, we don’t have time. So, I’ve got a crooked, warped lid that doesn’t close fully unless we push down the that corner.The metal corner pieces are jagged, with some corners having metal points sticking out. Easy to catch a finger, or rip a sleeping bag. I will have to file them down.Also, the metal corner pieces look unevenly bent. Just a little sloppy.The hardware has sharp edges. For instance, the lever to pop open the latch has a sharp edge right where you need to put your finger to pop it open. It just feels rough.The rivets are not consistently set. Some rivets do not even make it through the thickness of the wood. This is clearly a quality control problem. All the rivets should go through the wood, and all should so at the same level. Here, we have a few that maybe go through the wood half way. How secure are the metal fittings if the rivets aren’t properly set?The rivet holes aren’t cleaned. Quite a few have wood splinters sticking out. Again, not something that I can’t fix myself, but you would think that they could do a quick and easy job at the factory.Leather handle inside edge is ‘sharp’, even though it’s ‘leather’. Not great for small hands. My tween child picked up the handle to lift one side of the empty trunk, and after about thirty seconds, had to put it down to rub her hands from the strap digging into her hand.Optional wheels are difficult to attach. Looks like the metal attachment plates might be a little bent or something. But as a grown adult with strong hands, I struggled to get it on and off. No way in heck that a youth could do it.Overall, if I need to buy another trunk, I will probably get another brand (which I wanted, but shipping was longer). That other brand can be used as an actual shipping crate! Anyway, live and learn.

The trunk overall looks good but it didn’t come with the wheels that were in the description. Please contact me to get me the wheels. We bought this trunk because it came with wheels.

Purchase for my daughter to take to college and didn’t open box until time to move on campus and discovered the wheels was missing not included with the trunk. Paid 244.00 for nothing/didn’t use the trunk.
