Gala Spin Mop -- ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW.Well firstly I didn't purchase this from Flipkart but from Amazon as the price at my time of purchase was lower there.I guess packaging and delivery shouldn't be a concern on such products no matter where you buy from.Now about the Product itself :-1) This is a highly popular mop as can be ascertained from the huge number of Ratings & Reviews this mop has as compared to other mops.2) The quality of the plastic is good and so the bucket and spinner are strong and long lasting as cleaning equipment should be.3) The Rod is also made of strong aluminium metal so there is no risk of it bending under pressure.4) The Micro-Fibre Mop head is also of good quality and thick.USE :-Assembly is easy and explained properly on the side of the box.Its easy to use too. One has to fill about 4 litres of water in the bucket and dip the mop head in the deep side of the bucket, spin it in the washer, wring it in the wringer basket and mop the floor.Cons :-1) The Mop head takes a long time to dry out so its best to keep it hanging on a hook in an airy space.2) Although wringing the Mop head in the wringer basket is easy and takes very little effort,this wringing is basically to wring out the water and dry the mop.However there is a second 'spinner'' in the deep side of the bucket which is for spinning the mop inside the water which is intended for soaking the mop and cleaning it. This requires a lot more pressure and is a bit troublesome as when the water gets dirty its difficult to see the spinner inside the water and place the mop head properly on it.PRICING :-I got it at a decent price of Rs.1345. from Amazon but I advise my fellow customers to always use your rights as educated & intelligent online shoppers and compare prices among different online as well as offline shops in order to decide where to buy from once you have decided upon the product itself.One can easily get the phone no.s of offline shops in different parts of your city from sites like 'just dial' and give them a call from the comfort of one's home.Please do not forget to factor in the additional cost of Time,Energy and Transport that the Free Delivery and C.O.D service saves you which is should say is around Rs.250. atleast.HAPPY SHOPPING MY FELLOW CUSTOMERS.THANK YOU.

Gala spin mop design is very creative. The general problem in normal mops is to keep them just wet enough for mopping but not too watery. This design solves that problem.The usage details are not clearly mentioned anywhere. Though its not difficult to figure out, here are some directions that may help you: Keep the mop rod straight (it can be done by applying slight pressure near the hinge at the base). Dip the mop in the water (deep side of the plastic container). Release the lock (It is just above the first stick) and press down the mop rod from top.The mop will rotate absorbing water. Then bring the mop into the plastic perforated tray and again press the rod from the top. The mop rotates removing excess water from the mop. Just keep it enough wet for mopping.For mopping, reverse the lock (to avoid movement of the rod) and keep the rod at an inclination.ProsThe mechanism is very helpful to keep the mop sufficiently wet for the cleaning job. It also helps to keep the mop clean and dry once the mopping is done.The quality and finish of the product are quite good.In the inclined position, its very easy to clean using this mop, especially under the furniture such as cot, table etc.ConsThere are two mop heads received with the product. I read that Gala does not provide any spare mop heads. (but I saw some matching heads of other companies on Amazon). It would be nice if Gala sells the spares directly.The roller mechanism, while it is good, its not very convenient as the handle length is small. however this is not a big negative. As such, you really don't need to take the whole thing every where in the house.Cost is slightly on the higher side.Over all it's a good product which makes the cleaning job easier.Update 5/Jan/2015: Saw that Gala is selling the mop refills on Amazon now (ASIN: B00Q67QZNW). This is a good development and removes one major concern mentioned as negatives above..

Got the product delivered at Noida next day. Working fine since purchased.Wanted to order one more for jaipur. But price seems to have gone up.However there is a flaw in the design of the product.The part of bucket which is used to squeeze water from mop on spinning works perfectly fine.But after using the mop on floor, when mop gathers dust and dirt, there is another part in bucket, on which mop can be spun in water stored in bucket. This spinning removes the dirt and dust , which goes in water of bucket , making mop reasonably cleaner and drenched in water.Which is to be spinned in first part to squeeze water by centrifugal force.The problem lies in design of part which is submerged in water and meant to spin and clean in water. When we (any body) spins mop in that , the nylon twines , get stuck in the teeth like parts of spinning part. NO MATTER WHAT SO EVER TRICK YOU APPLY, one can not prevent mop twines getting entangled in the plastic teeth. Making the product seem like worthless.Ultimately we had to remove that part and use effectively only part meant to squeeze water out by spinning.Bucket water is used by us to dip dirty mop several times to remove dirt and dust in it.This flaw should be taken care of by manufacturer.WE have already bought two pieces of this mop, one from Amazon and one from market. Problem was found in both. I am sure most users will agree to it.Despite of this problem , I have given FIVE STARS, as it is value for money product.We are satisfied with service of Amazon.
