I watched many YouTube videos about the X3 series, and it seemed like most reviewers were keen on the mini. I ordered it from Amazon, and it came in quite quickly. When I received it, I charged it up, tuned it and then attempted to turn it on. Nothing was happening, seemed like the electronics were not working. I was somewhat annoyed, but figured I would just send it back and order a new one. Imagine my surprise when I was told by Amazon that I would have to pay for shipping for the return, which would have been fairly substantial. At the same time I had reached out to Enya and told them of my problem. I received an email back within a few hours with a description of fixes I could try to get the guitar working. At this point I was not a happy consumer; it would cost me a lot of money to ship back, or I could become a guitar tech and perhaps completely destroy the electronics. I made my unhappiness known to the contact at Enya, and they then made a very nice offer. They told me to keep the guitar I had and they would send me a new one, free of charge. This all occurred in under a day. I was very happy with this solution, I thought it went above and beyond good customer relations. I received the new guitar today. It worked straight out of the box, played very well, and the programmable effects were very cool. I downloaded the app and adjusted some of the effects, and found out that the app is very easy to use and full of good information. For a small guitar, this has a loud, clean sound, tons of sustain, and is very playable. I will probably put lighter strings on it, but that is my personal preference. I plugged it in to one of my powered speakers, and it sounded fantastic. It's got me looking at the X4 pro now........ So it was a rough start, but Enya made it good, very quickly. I would have no hesitation buying from them again, and the effects are so fun to work with, I'm sure I will be playing a lot more than usual. Overall, an excellent guitar with a company that stands behind its product!

Been playing guitar for 13 years now and I really enjoy bringing this outside for me and my friends to play. Honestly, I have no issues lending them this guitar since it has carbon fiber material and probably resistant to most bumps or scratches. I have had this guitar for almost a year now. And man it's still one of my favorite out there. Built in effects and speaker is good on occasion I don't want to bring a pedal and an amplifier. Sound is unique compared to a typical mahogany or spruce guitar. It is brighter in sound but I like it on most songs I play. I am quite happy with the zero fret action (it is low and its not hard on the hand to do bends) I don't think it requires pro set up as well as it is very playable right of the box. Overall, I think this is good quality guitar for the price point and realistically does not need maintenance which is also big up if u want to leave it in the car. I don't worry about leaving this guitar in the car despite the extreme weather temperature we experience here in Canada.

I purchased this as a "beach guitar" so that I'd have something to bring without care to an extremely high humidity environment and even out on a boat. After playing it for a bit however I'm thinking I will play this thing at home a whole lot more than I expected. So much fun! First, it needed a setup which I was able to do myself. The action at the 12th fret was quite high at around 1.4mm and there was really no neck relief at the fifth fret as the string was touching the 5th fret when fretted at 1 and 12. I sanded the saddle a bit to lower the 12th fret action to .09mm and then loosened the truss rod just enough to give about .01mm or a business card thickness of clearance at the 5th. It plays great now! In the absence of any instructions it took some noodling around for a few minutes to figure out the effects button. Let me just say however that is what not evident due to the lack of instructions is that there is a companion Enya Music app you can download to your phone which really opens up a whole new world for the effects. The four colors can each be completely customized to add as much or as little reverb, chorus, delay and wah in combinations as you want. You can also adjust the volume of the effects both from the guitar and from the 1/4" output along with adjusting their EQ and compression. It ended up sounding so much better than when it came out of the box. Since I have no use for the Wah effect, I completely replaced the purple setting with a custom blend of reverb and delay which came out really nice. I only found out about the app through a YouTube about the guitar I happened across. THE APP IS A TOTAL GAME CHANGER! I also am a fan of Elixir strings so while doing the setup I replaced the stock D'Addario XS set with an Elixir Phospor Bronze HD Light set. Just a better sound to my ear with a touch more low end to go with the high end shimmer. Your results may vary. It's a keeper! Just to update, there is one more thing that was not evident due to the lack of any instructions. You can use the onboard speaker as a Bluetooth speaker from your phone. This allows you to play backing tracks, drum loops, mp3s, YouTube videos etc through the guitar itself to play along with. It does not happen when you pair the guitar through the app however. It is an additional step. Once the guitar is on, tap the knob twice quickly and it will blink once. The guitar is now in pairing mode and will show up as a device that can be paired with on your phone as a Bluetooth speaker (SP1S-G_Audio). It only has to be done once. This has become my favorite feature on the guitar. The playback sounds best without effects so I use it on the green channel which is just the guitar without any additional effects added.

This is a good guitar. Enya is a good guitar maker. The guitar is respectable. Their price is very competitive, especially given that it is carbon fiber. I’m returning the X3 because I already own three carbon fiber guitars. I wanted this one for my car only… something impervious to weather extreme, cold or heat. It can do that. But the sound is a smidge below what I want… My ear is especially sensitive to this because my other carbon fibers are extraordinary. But I want to put in a good word for Enya. The X-3 deserves a serious look. Here’s the scoop: - The carbon fiber composition makes the X-3 virtually indestructible. If you want something to take camping, etc. Sure, this is for you. - The app is very good. But know how to use it. Pair it with your phone. Enjoy the digital delay and reverb. Also boosts the volume. Fun. - I would get a proper set-up with lighter strings. It came with high action. Was a bit stiff to play. That changes with a set-up. Overall, if you want something to withstand the weather without concern for maintenance, get the X-3 — but I would get it “set-up” at your local music store for better playability. Thank you, Enya.

Ive been playing this thing nonstop, but I had to fix up the Actuator that makes the projection because the wire from the actuator kept Buzzing on the bracing. Its not too noticable anymore but I can still hear the actuator buzzing at max volume and I think the actuator was installed a bit far off where it was supposed to be. I twisted the 3.5mm jack on the actuator and it works okay. The sustain is amazing. Its about 4x the sustain as my other guitars. Almost like the sustain lasts forever. I think its actually the same size as the Gs Mini but the Sound ring is smaller and I heard the scale length was longer. I reccomend that Enya makes the soundhole bigger for more volume projection or at least experiment with. With the Actuator, I can get more Db of noise from the guitar and it gets louder than all the acoustics Ive Got. And the fretboard doesnt feel small. Its got a weight to it but its not Terrible. I dont know about the Frets since its a Carbon Composite fretboard so it might be better or worse for refrets, And Ive heard that they dont use Stainless steel frets so I reccomend that Enya makes their frets out of stainless steel for longevity. I also would like to see the Gig bags and cases sold Online because I would like to purchase the X4 pro mini Case since ive heard that its so good, the Gig bag that comes with the x3 pro mini is decent but I can see threads and stuff and it feels like it can rip easily. Ive tried fitting it in an OM/Cassical or 000 guitar case and it fits in okat, you might need to get foam in it to be snug but id rather want to be able to purchase the X4 pro mini Case since the scale length and the size of both x3 and x4 minis are around the same. It seems like lots of people are having QC issues with bad lemons, so I should reccomend that QC tests out electronics and where the actuator is put. The Wire from the button to the jack has got foam on it but the Actuator doesnt so I can see that the wire for the Actuator can rattle around. I reccomend that you HAND tighten the bolt on neck to have more sustain and it did drop the action a little bit to where I like it. Ive had compliments on this guitar from the 2 days of having it since you can use it as a speaker, backing track, metronome. I heard that you can use it for recording too. This guitar is worth every penny even including the buzzing that I had to fix. Like I said, I would love to purchase the Case that the x4 pro mini comes with but its not anywhere I can find. 2 WEEK UPDATE! Changed 4 stars to 3! The guitar seems to have a few unknown scratches and dents as Ive used it for Worship and played it a lot. The scratches from using picks are promintent and you can see them from a mile away. The usual wear and tear. The guitar still sounds amazing! Bht The guitar case as you can see in my later photos has ripped from just zipping it open. IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS! I had to duct tape the gig bag up so that the guitar doesnt slip out while im backpacking it. I contacted customer service via enya's website but It seems like theres only one guy working customer service, they only reply around 3:30pm EST so I had to wait another day for a reply. I really dont want to badmouth enya and I heard that they are a really good company! This experience still doesnt change my view on how good their Guitars are. I asked if it the x3 and x4 mini were the same size as the GS Mini, no reply. I also asked if they sell their Guitar cases but they do Not unfortunately Otherwise I have been playing this guitar nonstop. :)
