Received in a very good condition. Page quality is good....more than 400 pages

Plato is one of the forefathers of Western Philosophy and Student of Socrates, laid foundation with his most famous work "The Republic".This text is a total socratic dialogues, presents Socrates as the narrator but its more of Plato's words.Regarding the Translation by Desmond Lee, its good but there are more modern translations available.

This book! Jesus! This is the first book on philosophy that I'm reading, and it's so freaking amazing! Socrates: This dude didn't use to think from a different level, he used to think from a different dimension for heaven's sake! 10 pages into the first book out of the 10 books, and my brain hurts so bad from thinking deeply. Go for it! I loved it. So may you!

I found the book quality decent for its price. The font is bleeding through the pages a little bit, but as a Penguin classic I like it's binding, cover and font size. Page quality could have been improved as others in the same price range give better quality pages.About the content, I am not qualified to speak but this is definitely a must read for those into philosophy. It's in the form of a dialogue and this translation is quite good, so majority will find this in a quite readable language.I don't why the seller keeps sending me old stock for this book, even the replacement is dirty and damaged as shown in the pictures. Shame.
