Can be used for multiple different uses
These sorting boards can be used for lots of different purposes. I have used them for different sorting and matching games with my son. The boards are very sturdy and would be very difficult to break, they are also in nice bright colours.

Trays but no Resources.
As a Nursery Practitioner, I am always pleased to be offered for review any toys and resources which I can share with my playroom. This set of sound segmenting trays are ideal for pre-school and reception classes as they support segmenting and blending of phonic sounds. However, it must be stressed that this pack supplies only the trays, not the letter resources. I must admit that I looked at the picture and assumed this set included the resources, as they feature in the cover image - This is great if you already have plenty of letter resources (which I do) but not so great if you are not sure which resources these trays support, or how to use them. That said, the trays are a bright and colourful resource in themselves and are sturdy. There are 8 round indentations ideal for holding individual letters, a large slot to hold picture or word cards and a space for magnetic wands (which are not supplied) which may add to this resource. When I worked as a Teaching Assistant, I would have loved these for my phonic groups - However, as I am now a Nursery Practitioner, I must admit that I have used these colourful trays for sorting objects and even for painting experiences - the large sections for the magnet wands are easily great for holding brushes and I have used the section circles for individual colours of paint. They wash well and are good for little hands to hold, so I will also use these in our garden area as play trays for the children to gather and sort grasses and flowers. These are a good resource but I feel that they are a little pricey at £20 considering the set only supplies the trays and not any resources to use with them.
