Nice soft case to protect from scratches & moderate bumps
The neoprene-like pouch fits the ZTS MBT-1 battery tester perfectly. There is enough give in the material to stuff a few flat things, like two 4-packs of AA batteries fit side by side, but otherwise you really can't use the pouch as a carry-all for other things besides the tester. The hook and loop fastener is secure enough that I can't shake the tester out, even with the two packs of extra batteries in it. The tester should be well-protected from scratches and mild bumping around but I doubt that it will fare well from being dropped from counter-height onto a tiled floor. I'm not willing to try that!

This has already paid for itself!!!
Read my review on the NiteCore i4 Intellicharge Ver 2 for part of my rating. I bought this unit as I needed a trustworthy device to test Lithium c2025 batteries for computer repairs. It was more expensive than most but other reviews were glowingly great. This is also designed and USA made, so what the heck, I will do my part to help the economy. I had some used button cells and a bunch of C2025's that I had removed for recycling or reusing so I tried out this new device. I was shocked to find some button batteries that measured 1.47V on a VOM were at 5-10%! I had throw out a $55 piece of equipment as I thought it just died and not because of the batteries. I immediately dug through my garbage and recovered it. Replaced the batteries and it works!! Ok, now I carefully take apart a laptop battery, cautiously so I don't short a battery and cause a fire or explosion. I test them and sure enough of the 4 cells two look ok after putting them on a high end recycling charger. Two tested 100% ok on this tester. Great at $20 apiece, I can use the cells in my flashlights. The other two gave ok voltage but didn't measure up to par. I put them on the Charger I mentioned above and after waiting at least a couple of hours or so, I was surprised to note that they took a full charge. So I put them on this tester, and sure enough they are holding a full charge and work great in my flash light as well. Do the math, I have paid for the charger already and have cleaned up all my non-functioning batteries using this tool. I am very pleased with the Amazon process and the ability to read reviews of products that actually work... (not that all reviews are good). I have a good couple of hours testing and the tester sits in my desk drawer and I have had it out at least once a day.Only criticism: the cord that fits in the groove around the side, not quite long enough to easily put away. I have to run my finger along the cord from the bottom to the test point insert to get it back in. A 1/4" longer would have been helpful.

Get the case to protect your MBT-1 investment; should be included at no additional cost.
This very soft and cushioned neoprene case with velcro closure is a perfect fit for the ZTS MBT-1 battery/cell tester. Frankly, for the cost of that item, this case should be included with every tester, but instead it's sold separately or as a package deal. Either way, the case is a good investment for protecting the MBT-1 in storage and I don't regret getting the case. When giving an MBT-1 tester as a gift later, I also purchased the soft case for that unit. You can buy them as a package here, and you might as well: The ZTS Multi-Battery Tester With Case - MBT-1 .

The mini is more than enough.
This thing is HUGE, like most people said. Way too big and clunky. Had multiple issues making connections and getting a correct reading. Maybe mine was defective, not sure. I prefer the mini version, which I also have. Much smaller, lighter and just works each time I go to use it. Unless you need to check the button style batteries, the mini version will be more than enough for you. If you do need that function however, make sure you have plenty of room in your drawer, because you are going to need it!

Multi-purpose soft case
Yes, this is a soft case for the ZTS MBT battery tester I bought and it would work fine for that.My use is for a jetBook-Lite eBook reader. Fits perfect for the width, but there's three extra inches top to bottom. I placed four AA's over this extra material and see that two straight seams sewn across will make two perfect pockets for a spare set of batteries. Shouldn't be much harder than sewing a button. The battery tester sits on a counter-top and is used daily. I made a dust cover by trimming one side of the tough molded plastic "clam" it came in. Works great, just wish I'd been a little more careful using the kitchen shears to trim along the edges. My cut wandered and a realignment trim created a sliver. Oh well, it works but could have looked better.

Nice for the price
This fits the charger well and seems to be good protection for it.

SMELLY carrying case for ZTS MBT-1 battery tester
This case is fine as far as far fitting the ZTS MBT-1 battery tester properly and protecting it from scratches, etc. I don't expect it will provide much protection it the battery tester is dropped though. My problem with it is it stinks! I mean it really SMELLS horrible! I put it in our garage for a month and when I brought it back in the house it still STUNK! It has this petroleum like smell to it. And, since I had it in my garage, trying to de-stinkify it, (I know, this isn't a real word...), for a month, the 30 day return period had past. so I couldn't return it.It may be fine for less scent sensitive people.
