Excellent dogi/dobok pants !!!
These size-1 white pants made in China have a generous cut and are comfortable for mat work. Laid flat, the unstretched width of the waist is 11½ in., reaching 16½ in. when fully stretched. The crotch is a 3-piece gusset with two lateral triangular inseams that allow leg movements without worrying about rips. They are longer than the usual dogi pants available online. I bought them primarily for this reason because the size-1 taekwando pants of the dobok of my tall, 7 y.o. daughter (4'6") had become too short for her and the next size would be too wide. The sizing guide values are valid for the pants we received. Before hemming the pants, they were washed in very hot water and were tumbled in a high heat for the initial sizing -- at this stage, the outseam measured 30½ in. There is a small rectangular (ca. 2 x ¾ in.) black tag with the brand name in discreet grey letters sewn on the outside of the left leg; seems easily removable, if this were needed. The manufacturer's label [Fig. 1] has instructions for normal washing written in a clear English (as well as an acceptable French and an unusual Spanish, which are not fully coherent in all three languages). Chlorine bleaching is to be avoided, but other bleaches may be used for the white fabric pants. For us, a simple cold-water washing and low-heat tumbling provide a simple and convenient wash-and-go without worries of shrinkage or wrinkles..I like the fabric. The Amazon page describes it as 55% cotton / 45% polyester, but the manufacturer's label indicates 60% cotton / 40% polyester [Fig. 1]. Although the weight (likely 6 oz) is not given, the fabric is rather comparable to that of modern karategi, has a strong double stitching, and absorbs sweat well (in a pinch, the pants could even be used as the zubon for a judogi). Despite the intensive wear my daughter had been putting them through to achieve a black-belt promotion, the fabric has held perfectly well with all the seams intact. A small drawback is the poor quality of the waist drawstring -- despite being kept in a permanently fixed length by a knot, its ends began to unravel in a few monthsThese pants are thicker and slightly wider at the cuffs than her old pants (which were the usual poly-cotton dobok pants one finds in the US). These characteristics lead to an audible snap when kicks are done with both good speed and strength, providing a great audio feedback to improve performance, a feedback that is more difficult to get with fabrics made mostly with polyester.

These have very wide legs.
I'm 5'4 and 205 ibs. I got these because I needed a new pair of pants that werent tight in my legs for kicking. I bought a Size 5 due to my weight which are suppose to be an Adult Large. The uniform I received when I started class were size 4 and tight in my legs so I thought going up a size would work. These pants were way to big. It felt like I was in a pair of clown pants. However, they were sturdy pants so I was very dissapointed that I had to return them. Will try getting the size 4 and see if they will work for me.

Like the other reviews state
Like the other reviews state, the 'tag' is sewn onto the front of these pants. I just cut it off and the pants are good to go.My 6 yr old weighs about 44lbs and I ordered a 00. They are just a tad long, but with one roll of the waist--wah lah.I recommend this brand for kiddos with small waists and long legs. The color fade is interesting. The original brand that I bought has faded greyish after washing. This brand fades with a very faint pale goldish tint (very faint).Nice, durable material though.

My dojo orders custom century uniforms in single size (no mismatch) tops and bottoms. I need a 5 top for the shoulder and chest, but 4 for the waist and inseam. Since there is no dojo logo, the pants are interchangeable.

NOT Century Brand Karate Pants!
Purchased from JM Distributors. The tag on these pants are generic, there is no maker listed. These pants are NOT Century brand karate pants. I have purchased authentic Century karate gear for my children, and I love the quality of it. The pants are much more lightweight and thin than Century brand pants. They feel cheap.Size-wise, the waist is really big for a size 0. My daughter is growing out of her size 00s, and these are huge around the waist for her. But her size 00s are authentic Century, and these aren't, so that may be why there is a discrepancy.I won't bother returning these because JM Distributors makes me pay to return them. Which is unfair because they're not selling what they advertise. Not purchasing from this seller again.

Abnormal for Century
Martial arts pants shaped like bell bottom jeans. I guess if my thighs and calves were as thick as my waist these might fit, but on any normal human being these look ridiculous.
