Lightweight, strong, and can hold my weight on a slope or stairway
Three weeks ago, while hiking down a steep slope in the Sierras, I tripped on a root and plunged forward down the slope, head first into the huge boulders. I was using my dad's old, telescoping hiking stick, and when I tried to stop my fall, it telescoped and I fell. Ended up with a concussion, badly bruised shoulder, elbow, knees and a bone bruise on my hip. I was lucky to be alive after striking my head full force on the boulder. After I got home from the trip, I searched for a hiking pole that I could lean on with all my weight when needed, without it telescoping. That's when I found these Z-style hiking poles. They are perfect and can support weight without telescoping, and are lightweight, easy to set up or break down for storage. They are also beautiful. I am still limping and recovering from the fall, but went to a local museum and also a local hiking trail, this week, and the poles supported me on both steep trail and on steep stairways at the museum. I highly recommend these hiking poles to anyone. They are also beautiful and have a clean look, without the big plastic joints that telescoping poles come with, and the longer handle is great for not only walking, but getting up from sitting on the ground. I am a fisherman and photographer so I go into the wild regularly and these poles will never leave my side.

Good poles, great grup
Follow the directions to make sure the poles get extended and stay in the correct spotThey are very sturdy. The different attachments help for the different conditions you may come into. I got the returned or like new ones. They were new. Great deal! They hold there spot better than the collapsible ones

Sturdy and light! So good!
So much better than expected. I thought I was getting one hiking pole and got two! But even better than that, they are super sturdy. Unlike the telescoping poles that I have used in the past that can collapse too easily, these poles are locked in tight. They give me great confidence in there ability to stop a fall. They also come with a number of tip attachments that I have not yet used.

Like described and made in USA.
These are carbon fiber not aluminum but are very nice and sturdy for my use. The color is very bright and nice. They fold up and go together like indicated.

Get'em!
I haven’t been able to field test these poles yet and, when I do, it’ll be under flat sub-tropical and tropical terrain. It’s hoped they will last long enough to be tested under mountainous geography in a year or so. I, however, have no reason to fear that they won’t last as they seem phenomenally good for the price point. Aesthetically, these poles are as attractive as any other in the market, while mostly keeping a basic black and white color palette. It features what seems to be reliable and sturdy cork trekking handles, with a foam handle under them. Both appear to be of excellent quality. The handles feel very comfortable in my short but wide hands. There are no concerns with the hard-plastic tips of the handles. The straps, prominently displaying the nicely embroidered company brand, have soft wicking material inside, are pretty thick, and compare favorably with any from other more expensive poles out there. They are secured into the top hard-plastic section of the handles by a small plastic plug that’s part of the straps themselves rather than the handle tops. One simply has to pull the plug out for strap adjustments. The ease of adjustment, though, is worrisome as it might come out easily while using them. You have to push that sucker in quite hard to secure the strap back after adjustments. This might very well be a non-issue, like I said, I haven’t field tested them yet, but best to be aware of it beforehand. They are made of aluminum 7075, don’t feel heavy at all, unless you are looking for feather-weight poles, which can’t be made of this material. The adjustment range of the top portion of the shaft is clearly marked and it’s quite generous. The adjustment knobs require little effort, solid, work fast and well. It comes with all the goodies for all terrains, a fine bag and they pack small. The company behind them is a small one quite adept at creating a true sense of community around its customers with superb customer service. I purchased two pairs, another for my wife, who is 2.5 inches taller than me, but the poles can accommodate us both (I’m 5’6.5” and she’s 5’9”) and we are giddily anticipating breaking them in… Well, not breaking them… you know what I mean, do you?

Well designed and compact hiking poles.
I am pleased with the quality of the product and how easy it is to adjust the length of the poles. I haven't had a chance to test them on a hike yet. I'm going to Iceland in May and was looking for something I could pack easily and these are compact in a case.
