Gut-friendly Japanese Natto Probiotic Powder.
Positives:-Freeze dried - made from fermented non-GMO soy beans.Very smooth consistency.High in Vitamin K and Protein.Plant-based - suitable for vegans. Can be used in many different ways.Reusable (grip-seal) pack.Best before date - 24/SEP/2025.Negatives:-Only that, at the time of writing this review, it is a tad expensive at its list price on the Amazon UK website.Observations:-Came in a reusable (grip-seal) pack.Conclusion:-This Pack contains about 33 x 1.5 gram servings (one teaspoon), and the very fine consistency of the powder makes it suitable for use in many different ways, albeit I prefer to use it for sprinkling onto main course meals, because of its gut-friendly properties.

Neutral flavour and smell. Relatively expensive.
Tried this in a protein shake, and it was fine. There isn't much of an odour, and I couldn't really taste it. I tried natto before many years ago, and I didn't like it, but this is something different, and can be utilised in a greater number of ways. It's difficult to get fermented foods into the diet that don't cause some kind of digestive issue in and of themselves (i.e. cabbage (cruciferous) - kimchi/ sauerkraut; milk (dairy) - kefir), but this seems okay. It's expensive though, and at £15 for 50g of product, it's hard to get excited about, although, this seems to be normal based on similar products I've looked at. It's almost like the economics I've observed with matcha tea. I would try getting this from a local East Asian grocer first, and if you're still out of luck, then consider.

Natto benefits in easy form
I ordered this bag of Fermented Natto Powder from the brand YAMASAN KYOTO UJI. It's basically a freeze-dried powdered form of the fermented natto speciality from Japan. I have a Japanese market near me and I have bought fresh ( refrigerated Natto many times, I think Natto deserves its reputation as a superfood. And I don't intend to stop buying that **when I can**. However the combination of it being tricky to get hold of fresh Natto, the shelf life in the fridge (not long) and the - ahem - interesting flavour for fresh Natto, means it is good to think I can have something more accessible in the store cupboard to use in between. This is it.it's certainly true the Natto is supplied in a small amount, just 50g, for the current listed price of £14.99. However, given the other alternative to fresh Natto is something like a capsule supplement, which would also cost a fair bit per capsule, I am happy to go with a less-processed powder form. 33 servings for £14.99 does not seem outrageous when you are comparing it to that. Also, fresh Natto is often in the region of £1 per portion (it comes in little yoghurt tub things). So I think the cost is on a par generally. The natto does not have much taste. it doesn't have that trademark natto flavour; well perhaps a gentle echo, not the unmistakable taste. So if you want natto for the flavour, go for fresh, but if you want the nutrient mix, and the enzyme properties, rather than the flavour, this is a useful option.Five stars.

Almost no flavour
This powder is weird, has almost no flavour, so it's basically useless.
