This remote worked seamlessly with my 2017 LG OLED55B7V straight out of the box—no programming or setting adjustments needed. Some buttons, like the 3D button, are non-functional since they correspond to features or apps my TV doesn't support, but all the essential controls work perfectly. Notably, it includes media playback buttons, which are often missing on many LG Magic Remotes.The design and feel are almost identical to a standard basic LG remote, just without the branding. I highly recommend it as a replacement or as a spare remote for your setup. Like some other reviews have mentioned and demonstrated with photos, the actual remote I received was not identical to the product page photos but did look the same as in those other reviews. Even if your TV doesn't support every single function e.g. 3D, the other main functions will work as normal on almost any LG TV.

These controllers work as intended and all buttons correspond to the original controller. They are set up slightly different to my magic remote but its fairly self explanatory.The only thing missing is the magic remote part but thats ok as I didnt use it too much.4 stars from me. Nice to have a spare remote.

The one supplied differs from the picture on the product page with a real bonus is that the Samaaji remote has extra function buttons not on the original remote or on the picture on the product page. It works perfectly with our Smart LG TV. The extra buttons that make life easier are as follows; Screen Ratio, My Apps, LG Channels. Fav. It lacks the search button which is on the original remote but then I have never used that button. A recommended low cost replacement – and five stars and no less.

This works with my LG TV, both of them in the house in fact, so it’s a straightforward case of putting the batteries in and you’re good to go. The battery compartment doesn’t tell you which way around to put the batteries so I’ve taken a photo of the correct way but obviously it’s easy enough to figure it out.There’s one deal-breaker problem with this remote for me. It’s not just that the buttons aren’t as “nice” to press as some remotes, perhaps as they’re not as deeply set, they just don’t depress as they should and this gets frustrating. This is the main downside for me and the reason I’ve had to give up trying to use it as I got so annoyed with it. I’ve had to repeatedly press buttons every time to make them work, pressing as hard as possible and still not getting a response. On occasion a button will work okay, next time it’s a nuisance that takes four tries. It should be quite easy to press a button on a remote, it should be a little more click-y and a lot less rubbery and non-responsive.There are a few smaller issues with this, too, but not deal breaker ones. You often get shortcut buttons you don’t really want, that happens, and often some you do want are missing. There’s no button for live TV, which is a shame as that would have been useful to get around the faff of the LG home screen. Some of the buttons also don’t work, so when pressed, the TV says it’s not available. There are a large number of buttons on this remote and it does look a bit cluttered and overwhelming, especially when some don’t even work with my 2024 LG TV.I’d find the remote okay if the buttons were a lot better, but sadly they just render this too infuriating to use.

Needed an additional one, and this worked well!

I’ve lost my remote control - not sure how it can just disappear but it did so ordered this universal lg remote control.It needs 2 x aaa batteries (which are not included)It worked straight away and I was able to turn on my tv again.I have tested all the buttons and the only ones I can’t get to work are the preset channel ones. I’m not sure if I have to programme them in so will try and contact seller to find out - apart from this - the remote is good quality. Is made well and feels like it will last.The buttons are easy to read - even without my glassesI would RECOMMEND this replacement remote I just need to get the preset channel buttons to work

This works well with my OLED55C24LA TV. I much prefer the LG original but, for less than £10, this is a worthy alternative. I still have the original but will keep this as a spare.They’re right when they say no setup required. Install the batteries and it just works. The shape and button layout are entirely different from the LG version, and in fact the one I received is very different from the one pictured in the listing. See the attached photo. Some of the button markings vary from those used by LG too, so, one way or another, there’s a steep learning curve.So far, I’ve been able to do everything I can with the original, except voice (no surprise). In fact, there are buttons on the new one that don’t exist on the original – they don’t do anything, with my TV. I don’t much like the button action – the buttons tilt forward against strong springs when you press them, instead of pressing relatively easily straight down. They don’t click, so you have to look at the TV to find out whether your key presses have worked. Absence of clicks is arguably a benefit, of course.The LG original is more comfortable in the hand and easier to grip. It also has a more substantial, quality feel. I’d be tempted to pay the price for it, but if you want to minimise expense, you’re unlikely to be disappointed with this one.

Replacement for my LG remote and worked perfectly straight out of the box.Recommended.
