I've been using this onion oil for a few weeks now, and while I'm not totally convinced it's helping with hair growth yet, it has been great for deep oil treatments. My hair feels softer and more nourished after using it overnight. The smell is definitely strong—very onion-y—so I make sure to wash it out thoroughly. If you're looking for a natural oil to condition your scalp and hair, it's worth trying, just manage your expectations on the growth claims.

This is something very few people know about or even use in their hair care routine. Garlic water or oil and onion oil really helps with hair retention. It strengthens the hair from the roots which is where most hair issues come from. I LOVE this stuff. I use a little bit to oil my scalp then wear a plastic cap on my head for at least 4 hours. After that, I wash my hair and condition it, rinse style and let it air dry. This stuff is the raw oil. It smells strong of onion until you wash your hair. That can be a deterrent to some. I stay with it because it has grown my 4c curl pattern hair out so much! It’s the hardest to grow but with this stuff, I have noticed growth much sooner because it helps me retain my hair. A little bit goes a long way. Don’t over saturate your hair. Focus on putting oil on your scalp and massage it through the ends of your hair. This stuff works!
