I liked most everything about this paper towel holder. It has the proper amount of spring resistance, allowing one-handed dispensing of one or multiple sheets of perforated paper towels. Construction seems strong and well-made, and the overall appearance is modern and pleasing. And it's easy to replace the paper towel with the quick-release knob.The only problems I encountered were during installation. The angles that should have been exactly 90-degrees were slightly off, such that when installing the holder correctly under an overhanging level cabinet, the towel rod wasn't quite parallel with the bottom of the cabinet. I considered trying to bend the mounting bracket slightly, but thought better of it, as it is cast metal and it would be probably break if too much pressure was applied. I ended up adding a couple of flat washers between the holder base and the cabinet as shims at the single extreme end mounting screw to correct the angle; this solved the problem and isn't noticeable, as the the towel holder is below eye-level when looking from the front of cabinet. One other minor issue... the supplied wood screws were a tad long, and would have poked into the interior of the cabinet, so I had to purchase some shorter screws to avoid that problem. It would have been convenient if the manufacturer supplied several different length sets of mounting screws to accommodate a variety of typical installations.Overall I'm satisfied and would purchase it again, based on the product quality.

This is the absolutely best paper towel holder in existence. No longer feeling frustration when pulling a paper towel off the holder and the holder springs open and there goes the entire roll of towels onto the countertop. Extremely sturdy, a snap to put on a new roll. Maybe a tad pricier than others but still well worth it. Simplehuman knows its business, high quality products every time.

Beautifully designed and engineered. I love the sturdiness of the paper toewl holder. And the spring-like "break" that prevents the towels from unrolling wildly (a real flaw in other holders) is genius. The easy towel replacement end cap is also a bonus. One of my best purchases this year!

It's still very new but so far it works great and looks nice. The regulator allows it to roll easily enough but has enough tension that you can tear the towels off with one hand. I wouldn't call it decorative, but it helps to accomplish my objective to clear clutter from my kitchen counters. I have it mounted under the cabinets over my kitchen sink, which is convenient, but which required that I purchase some half inch screws for the installation because the ones included would have gone through the bottom of the shelf and be sticking out the other side. The included screws and plastic anchors would probably work well if you were mounting it to a wall.

I purchased two of these. Very well made and easy to use. Just pinch the ends and the cap comes off for easy replacement of paper towel roll. The paper towel rolls of with ease but does not waste or roll too freely

I want to love it, like I love my other simplehuman products, but I don't. I am, however, happy enough with it.What I do like:- Well made, like typical simplehuman products.- Stainless steel- Looks nice.- Works pretty well.The Cons:- Maybe it is me, but I cannot work this one-handed, much less control how much paper towel peels off, as is touted for the product. The stopper doesn't seem to stop anything. This could be pilot error on my part, or a function of where I put it (as in not getting the right angle on it). I didn't buy it for that reason, so it's not a big deal for me, but if that is important to you....- It's kind of clunky and seems kind of large. Now, this could be me. My kitchen in my new house is a little smaller than in my previous house, so I might just be more aware of it's actual size as a result. But I had a hard time fitting it under my cabinets, and it seemed absolutely huge when I thought about putting it on a wall in the open. I finally found a spot under my cabinets where it worked okay, but it was a bit of a challenge. It's probably just me. However, if your space is tight in your kitchen, you may have trouble getting enough clearance to mount this, especially if you don't have clear counter space under it.- I kinda hate that knob on the end. Something a little smaller and more streamlined looking would have been nice. It kinda makes the product feel "industrial" to me and less "kitcheny." Minor thing.- Installation was pretty straightforward. I highly recommend marking off the holes for the screws and pre-drilling. The screws that came with this were really long and would have pierced all the way through the bottom of my cabinets. My cabinets are not unduly thin at the base, so I was a little surprised by this. Fortunately, I noticed this before I mangled my cabinets and scrounged up some shorter wood screws that fit. Something to note.Despite my nitpicky issues, this is a nice quality product. Like most simplehuman products, I think it is a little overpriced, but it is functional and I expect it will last pretty much forever. I'm not in love with it, but I am happy enough with the purchase.

Works perfectly, much better than the old one, easy to load.

Had two before this one and neither lasted more than a few months. I thought this one was to expensive but it is better quality than the others and the roll stays on for easy tearing of the paper towels. So far very happy with it. Hope it lasts longer than the others
