After 4 months of use ...I have zero beef with this device. I'm still using the original batteries that I installed on day one. The app could be better but as far as manual usage of the fingerprint scanner and entering codes it works well. Unless it goes for bust in the next few months I'll give it five stars

About the battery life: It’s advertised as 8 months. However, within 3 months I received a low battery notification. It took 2 and a half months for the lock to fully die (though periodically it would still let me unlock it). So, in all it lasted roughly 5 and a half months. Given that it requires 8 AA batteries it’s nowhere near as efficient as a Yale, but fair for the price point. The lock was used at most 2-3 times a day, every day. It is used in an outdoor casita and seems to hold up fine with indirect weather. I would recommend not connecting it to HomeKit via Matter, as 90% of the time it failed to work and it drains the battery even more. I would disconnect it from wireless connectivity entirely (wifi, Bluetooth) if possible so it will more than likely be much closer to that 8 months of battery life. Overall, given the price point, I would recommend it as it’s never once failed to lock / unlock and it’s very easy to install. Just understand the caveat with battery life.

used at a rental and even during slow season with no usage the batteries do not last. 8 batteries vs 4 in say Nest, do NOT last any longer. Keypad usage isn't quite as clear so notes have to be shared with renters. integration in the Eufy app is nice though.

IMPORTANT!! PLEASE READ. This product works fantastic with my Apple Home setup. I would expect it to work just as well with Alexa and Giggle. I use all three for different reasons. HOWEVER.....I have owned and used two of these locks for almost three months now. One of the locks is used frequently. I'd say I either manually enter the code or have Siri open and lock this one device at least ten times a day. The second device is locked and unlocked MAYBE once a day. Both devices have now needed a full battery change twice (in less than 3 months). I'm even using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries. Those things last forever in anything else I put them in. Also, both device's battery changes were needed at the exact same time, both times. We're talking 8 x AA batteries per device / month. I wish I owned Energizer stock. For extra info....I have a third lock in my house, not this one or this brand. It was installed at the same exact time these were and it's original batteries are sitting at 85%. I've had other brands installed in my house over the years and their batteries typically lasted at least 6-8 months. This device has a very obvious firmware issue (Yes, I've updated and its been up to date since date of install). You will spend more in batteries in 6 months than the lock costs itself.
