Convenient and a time saver.
This is his 2nd pair of magnetic wristbands. He had a set a while ago and lost them. He does a lot of building and installation. He was telling me that they were on a ladder and it took forever because they kept dropping the nails and screws. They have big hands so I imagine it's hard to hold certain nails and screws. These are adjustable with velcro straps, they also have a secure strap for your thumb so you can wrap the velcro. They hold enough screws and nails that you would need. You can't put anything too heavy on there, I couldn't imagine why you would. I just know that not only do they look good, but they're convenient for what he does. They also save time, you don't have to keep grabbing other nails or screws that you dropped. It would prevent you from having all of those dropped screws in your yard as well or floor.

appears to work well, but no coiled lanyard
The magnets seem to be strong enough to hold a paper clip and an allen wrench. The velcro seems to be strong enough to hold even as you move around during your project. The wrist elastic has some give to it if you have a wider wrist, but heavy duty so that it's not going to give out. The pockets seem to be a handy addition. There is also an elastic loop that could potentially hold a pencil or pen. The title of this item claimed it came with a coiled lanyard, but I guess mine ended up being the one without. Only time will tell how well this wristband holds up.

Why didn't I know this existed before?
This is such a good idea for any project where you don't want to bring too much out with you. The magnets work fine, there's enough space on the wristband for storing screws or nails or even drill bits as you swap them out. The material is comfortable enough to wear while working and it washes just fine with a bit of soap and water if you need to get dirt or paint off - do not machine wash, the magnets will cause a problem as it sticks to your washer drum!

Handy wristband and lanyard
I'm always doing various home projects requiring nails or screws, and always dropping them, along with the tool I'm using, sometimes from on a ladder, so when I saw this handy magnetic wristband with lanyard, I had to try it. The wristband comes packed folded up in a small box along with the lanyard that can safely secure a tool from dropping. The wristband has 4 magnetic pads to hold fasteners or even small metallic tools like allen wrenches. There is a small pocket for other small items along with a loop to hold a pencil. There is another loop that I guess is meant to go around your thumb, but I clipped the lanyard to it as I don't know what a loop around your thumb accomplishes. Maybe just a safety feature in case the wristband came off? But the wristband has a wide strong velcro area that is quite adjustable to different wrist sizes, though a little tricky to put on your wrist with the perfect tightness just using your other hand. Once on it is comfortable. The lanyard has a coil for some springiness, and an adustable loop at the end to fit snugly around the handle of a hammer, screwdriver, or other tool. This is one of these products I didn't know I needed, and where was it all my life. Very happy to have this, excellent idea.

Giftable
I ordered this for a friend, and he is enjoying it. He is a small project contractor and always using screws etc and needs a way to hold them when his hands are full using other tools. This wristband does just that. He is pleased and can work more efficiently with it. Great to gift to that guy in your life (or woman) who is in the field of handy work.

Pleased with this
We've been doing a lot of finishing work in our garage, so that means lots of hardware, and my husband can misplace ANYTHING like it's his job. They make this wristband easy to put on with the thumb loop strap. We used it while wearing or just laying on the work bench to make sure we didn't lose important screws as we had to move lighting fixtures to accommodate the ceiling panels we were putting up. The wristband can get a bit sweaty underneath after wearing and working for a while but that's to be expected. I was pleased that we managed to keep track of the hardware for our project. Even with the wristband sitting on the work bench, it's bright orange so it's hard to miss, and that made it easier for my workmates to safely store and find their hardware. This was a good value and very handy to have in our DIY arsenal!

Great idea, but not sure how practical
This is a great idea. it probably depends on your projects as to how useful it is. Given the projects I tried it on, I think that I was moving around too much. They were larger projects. This might be handy in specific situations, but I have not yet figured out where it would help me personally. I do like the idea. Just not sure how to use it yet where it is worthwhile.

Nifty gadget
This is much more useful than I thought for doing small jobs around the house! Sometimes I just need a few screws when working in a spot that is up high or in a tight space. This saves me the hassle of fishing around in my pant pocket for the screw I need.Like mentioned by other reviewers, it's best to wear this on your DOMINANT hand, so you don't need to let go of the tool that you're using. You can reach over with your alternate hand to keep supplying yourself with screws while your dominant hand keeps working.
