Is this material suitable for use as a baby bib lining?

I am pretty sure you could sew it onto a fabric baby bib as the lining. I just am not sure it is the best idea to do so. This is hand-wash only, and I know that throwing the bibs in with diapers and towels and whatnot in the washing machine was standard fare for us!
