Easy to use
This is easy to use and the distance on reverse side seems a little deeper than other types making it easier to cut from both sides of blade. The zigzag does take a little getting used to as it is not near as sharp as the straight cut blade. Just have to cut fewer pieces or go back over a few times, but works then.

Not sharp enough and the handle sticks
It's not bad for the money and works fine on paper but not quite sharp enough for fabric. It cuts but you have to apply a lot of pressure and then lines get crooked. Also when trying to squeeze or bring back in the blade it sticks and you have to push on it to release. All in all not the best for fabric but decent enough for paper.

AUTOTOOLHOME 45mm Wavy Rotary Cutter
Great rotary cutter for quilting and my favorite projects. The handle is very comfortable to hold and easy to use. The blades are very sharp and stay sharp for a lot of cutting fabric. I highly recommend this rotary cutter for all of your quilting needs.

Some safety issues. Performance is just okay.
It’s almost too easy to use. I don’t think the safety feature is good enough. It is too easy to disengage the safety feature, so it can be done unintentionally. Also, when it’s just laying on the table, it’s impossible to tell whether the safety is engaged or not, unless you just happen to be able to remember which side means it’s on. Also, it comes loaded with a blade, which isn’t a complaint except that it wasn’t obvious so I sliced my finger straight out of the package because *the safety wasn’t on and I couldn’t tell.” The straight blade cuts fine, but the blades were stuck together—they were wet with I think factory oil? So they were very difficult to get apart and another easy way to cut yourself. The wavy blade isn’t very reliable. It was difficult to cut with and skips sections quite a bit. I had to press really hard to get the wavy blade to work at all. So I ordered the name brand one and this was a waste of money. Not thrilled with it.

Not reliable for daily use, blades not sharp enough, wobbly in holder.
I ordered this cutter because I liked the safety feature. Also the value proposition on this item was what convinced me to try this cutter and blades.Immediately I found the straight blade wobbly in the holder. I was not confident using my new ruler since every time I was cutting it felt it took pieces out of my acrylic quilting ruler. Cutting through 4 layers of fabric only worked when pressing down pretty hard on the cutter. The wavy blade (not pinking blade) was worse. If you try to get it tight it won't turn and wont cut at all. When you have it loose enough in the cutter it will turn to cut but the blades (I tried two of them) won't cut. You can only separate the two sides by going over it several times while pressing really firmly.I gave in and bought a rotary cutter of one of the two bigger brands for Quilting, the one starting with an O. It came in today and Oh my what a difference. The straight blade is super sharp and cuts through fabric - even 4 and more layers - with no effort from me at all. It glides really nice along the ruler and the cuts are really clean. The pinking blade with the same brand is also fantastic. Cuts in one go the fabric you want to cut.All I want to say - if you are using a rotary cutter a lot for fabric etc please make sure you have the right one. You should not have to press really hard to cut layers of fabric. Straight blade or pink blade. The cutter needs to feel secure in your hands, not a liability. I thought I would save a bit of money buying this one but I rather save my hands and arms and patience and invest a little bit more money. I suggest you do the same.

SHARP!
I didn't realize how many spare blades were included -- great value!Word to the wise -- be really careful when getting these out of the packaging. The straight blades are so sharp, I cut myself (even handling carefully) and didn't even feel it -- they're THAT sharp. If I had it to do over, I might at least wear gardening gloves or something...

I'm very disappointed in this cutter. I especially wanted to cut my material for quilting with the serrated edge. Well, that's not happening. It only 'sometimes' cuts through 2 layers of regular cotton material and that's only when I press very hard. Just touching the edges of the serrated blade, I can tell they're not very sharp. I feel it was a waste of money for this cutter.
