I have been hesitant to buy one of these broilers, but finally pulled the trigger because it is an electric unit, not gas. It is great for Chicago style char on steaks and pork chops.

I have a propane powered salamander that costs six times this grill. They both do the same thing, except this is electric which is much easier to use. I am entirely satisfied. Now, they won’t say this, but sous vide your steak first, then finish with this.

The heating area is too small. This means many small batches of grilling. Good for two people.

Unpacked it today. Came dented. Outside packaging was undamaged. A few screws were missing too. Tried a test steak and did a good job. You’re basically buying a toaster heating element surrounded by flimsy aluminum.

The media could not be loaded. Restaurant quality at your house for under two hundred bucks. Not much more to say. Highly recommend it.
