Love this gold. I put it on everything. I’d put it in my cereal if it were edible. I’m hella amateur at painting and I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Paint this gold over your tv and watch the tv shimmer and shine oooooo... aaaaahhhh. This gold ain’t for no pandas who can’t handle the REAL gold.We thought it would be Donald Trump Gold but it’s much nicer. It’s golder than my cousins two front teeth that are gold. I want to try to paint the rest of his teeth but he won’t let me. Selfish.Anyway, I think this Gold goes on easy, dries fast and won’t stank up your H to da Ouse. Use it and abuse it because it loves being on your walls and everything!Cheers from the Wild Wild West Blat!Love! Excited! Gold! Fast shipping! No damage! Like the container! Water based! Safe for kids! Not safe to eat! Lasers! Dries fast! Looks great in a room! Looks great on a door! Lightning bolt! Looks great for crown molding!Eat healthy - read good. This I impart to you. Go forth and be free little bird.

Exactly what I wanted
I bought this to do a stencil pattern on my wall. It was WAY more than I needed, but I am very happy with the results. I absolutly recommend it.

Looks Amazing, but follow directions
We painted our ceiling with MM Metallic Pearl, it is very important to follow directions. Our ceiling was first painted a bright white. It has a soft texture. We added an extender as directed. It took two coats to achieve desired results. It is important that you work quickly, smoothly, and evenly. Edges must not dry, and do not go back over what you have painted. If so, you will have darker streaks. After we finished, and it dried, it was amazing! Our ceiling looks like a tin ceiling. I didn't want just a plain ceiling, and I definitely achieved it. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because of technique. You cannot just roll it on. You must roll in a straight line, and keep edges wet. We had two people, and two rollers, one person to fill the roller, and the other to roll it on. You must also make sure that the paint is well mixed, there is a lot of metallic in the paint and they may settle, which will give you an uneven look. We painted a very large area, so I feel this make it more challenging, but it went smoothly. This went quickly, evenly, and would do it again. It didn't take that long at all. Worth the money and effort!! i have attached a couple of photos, they do not in any way do justice!! End color is not a bright white, but a silvery pearl. It appears yellowish in the photos, but it is not.

Exactly what I was looking for
I used the white pearl paint to stencil my accent wall and it came out perfect! When the light hits, it’s a shiny white and fades out in the shadows. It’s great for a hint of something that isn’t too in-your-face.

Perfectly Muted Gold Tone
First time stenciling and this was amazingly easy to work with. Did an 8 X 15 wall with a little left over. Just a reminder, this is NOT a silver tone. It is a muted gold tone, which is why I ordered it after reading other reviews. Very happy with results.

Save yourself from a headache while saving an exuberant amount of money...
I spent countless hours, weeks even, researching techniques of applying this paint before starting. I'll sum everything up. My review is based on the "Snowflake" and "Black Pearl" finishes. I called their tech support many times, and they are absolutely wonderful. These are my sarcastic remarks, the beginning quotes are directly from Modern Masters data sheets and tutorials:The documentation states "do not apply to flat sheen surfaces or gloss surfaces." What type of surfaces then? Surfaces primed with Zinnser Bullseye 1 2 3 of course! I'm guessing they are endorsed by Modern Masters."We recommend you use our metallic roller cover for optimal results". I noticed absolutely no difference in results from the much less expensive Purdy Metallic roller, and Modern Masters Metallic roller cover that honestly - will absorb half a quart of paint before you begin."We recommend you use our extender to prevent lap lines - our extender will not dull the metallic particles". You definitely need an extender. This paint turns to goop in no time, even with the extender. I did one wall specifically with the Purdy roller cover and Floetrol extender and could not tell any difference in the results than the wall using the Modern Masters roller and MM extender. The metallic effect was no difference between this test."We recommend if you do paint over a premium latex paint, that it isn't too close of color to the metallic sheen you are using, as you might miss a spot!". This I found out the hard way, is silly. The results from painting one coat of the "Snowflake" over a very similar white base latex paint was the best results I had. I did one wall in the Zinnser primer also - white. There was no difference in the results. Putting a second coat, not only started turning the "Snowflake" more off-white, it lessened the metallic effect. Now, I'm guessing whichever color you are planning with this paint, that its going to be the "semi-opaque" sheen. They suggest 3 coats of the semi-opaque. That means you'll be buying / using 3x the amount of paint. Save yourself some time, if you're painting walls like I did, in a light color like the "Snowflake", I had far superior results painting one coat over a very close color base.If you're painting walls with a texture (the walls I did have an orange peel texture), its going to take away from the metallic effect drastically. Also, if you're painting walls and plan to use their MasterClear topcoat - I can tell you, it does -not- enhance the metallic particles. It covers them, making your end result look like a plain semi-gloss paint finish. I am so disappointed in the results after the MasterClear application. Its also very easy to make lap lines with the MasterClear, and very difficult to see it over a light color such as the "Snowflake".With this paint you are buying the name. Its far overpriced for what it is. Here is my suggestion...I remembered working with some metallic pigments in art class as a kid. Pearl-Ex pigments they were / are called. You can buy these pigments (they go down to 5 microns in size I believe - they're really neat) in any iridescent color you can imagine. For less than the cost of one gallon of Modern Masters paint, you can buy enough pigments to make 200+ gallons of your own metallic paint - customized color particles in whatever premium latex paint / color you choose. Endless possibilities and you aren't limited to Modern Masters color wheel. Just do a search on Amazon for "powdered pigments" or "powdered metallic pigments" - there's plenty options besides the ones mentioned. After my nightmare and disappointment with the Modern Masters (mainly, going by their suggestions - 3 coats - using their topcoat, etc), I tried the pigments in my own selection of paint - phenomenal results in comparison. Fraction of the cost. Just thin out your base coat before adding the pigments, and a tiny bit goes a long way.I also have not yet tried adding pigments to a clear coat - adding Pearl-Ex or whatever powdered pigments to the MasterClear might turn out some interesting results. Seems like that would add the metallic effect to whatever you already have painted on the walls (or furniture). I'll have to test that out.I hope this helps.

True deep,rich color!
The colors are awesome! So many metallics don't have true deep silver and gold these do. Paint in one direction not back and forth and you won't have brush marks. The more coats you apply the deeper the color. If you want just a hint of color and sparkle one coat is perfect. If you want deep, rich color 2-3 coats. It dries extremely fast so you don't have to wait long to apply the next coat. Great metallic paints!

Nice Paint
I agree with other reviewers that this paint goes on smoothly and a little goes a long way. It's a bit thick though, and I needed to thin it to minimize brush strokes. The "Metallic Silver" color was a fairly close to the the stainless I was matching.

Love this product
I purchased this product for a 'classy finishing touch' to my hand painted bedside unit that I created for one of my neighbours. See the attached photos. She loved the finished product. She actually picked up this unit from a 'tip' and after I completed it - instead of it being 'trash' it looked a 'beautiful swan'. This metallic in Pearl White was used on the top and sides of the unit. The product has real metallic particles - so when you use this, you need to keep stirring it so the metallic particles keep being 'mixed' instead of settling on the bottom of the jar. It is low odour and low VOC, quick drying and water based so you can wash your brushes in water, which is great.I highly recommend this product to whoever would like something a bit different to 'jazz' up a piece of furniture they are painting. You can also use this product on walls, trim and ceilings as well as furniture. You will need 2/3 coats, but you will not be disappointed with the outcome.

Fabulous Results
I painted an old mahogany TV cabinet with this and it has come up brilliantly. The colour you can see is the colour it has achieved. It is really easy to paint on and dries really quickly. I am very pleased with the result and it certainly changed the 'doubting' members of my family who thought I should throw this old cabinet away!

Applies smoothly with a great finish. Would recommend
I had to wait quite a while for it, as it came from America, but it was worth it. Applies smoothly with a great finish. Would recommend.
