White Lightning Clean Streak - Bicycle Degreaser - Aerosol, 14 oz

Like the right of spring every year I would go looking for a new chain cleaning device to make it easy to keep a clean, well lubricated chain on mine and my wife's recumbent two wheel Linear Limo working like new. Seldom does the Parks chain cleaner make it through the season without hitting the floor and something breaking off. I also tried some of the other brands with similar results. They are messy and as I mentioned fragile.This one is fantastic. The solvent based cleaner dispenses itself when you hold down the container top. You have to hold it just right to do it with one hand, and it took two tries to get the hang of it. But it is effective, easy, and clean. I follow up with a wipe down of the chain and my favorite lubricant Rock n Roll Red.I like this so much I am going to buy a couple more to have when this get discontinued and I can't find it on Amazon any longer. What a great product. The refill is a great deal and the unit fits on top of the large size refill too. (Not getting anything for this review..Just so impressed I wanted to spread the word before it disappears from the market)

Works very well especially with their chain cleaning system, instantly cleans chain regardless of how dirty it is in seconds.

Bought this for my house because we use it for everything in the bike shop. Works for much more than chain degreasing. Perfect for polishing matte and glossy frames, cleaning ball bearings, even bar tape. Also works reasonably well at removing adhesive residue.

I live in a NYC high rise and road bike often; options to clean my bike are limited. I use this about every two weeks to remove grit/grime. That keeps the gears and chain in decent shape. Do a real deep clean once a year with a power sprayer at a nearby car wash. Only issue is the run off, as it’s messy. If I have to do it indoors, I spread a plastic drop cloth to catch the black crud.

I commute daily, both through woodlands and along streets, and my chain needs weekly cleaning to minimize wear. I've tried soaking and scrubbing, as well as the Park Tool Chain Gang Cleaning System, but I've found the White Lightning Trigger Bicycle Chain Cleaner with 12-Ounce Clean Streak to be the simplest and easiest tool for cleaning my chain. It does require some coordination to use: you hold the unit in your left hand, squeezing the trigger that clamps the brush mechanism to your chain and pressing down on the spray button, all while pumping your pedals backward with the other hand. With a little practice, it becomes second nature, but it's tricky enough that it keeps this from being a five star product for me. If you need to clean your chain regularly, though, I highly recommend this.One note: another reviewer commented on this being hard to assemble, and having trouble getting the spray straw in. I've bought a couple of these units, and they all come with the brush mechanism attached, and a straw inserted, with two extra straws inside; I've never had any trouble inserting the straws these come with. Once you've exhausted your bottle, you can transfer the brush mechanism to a new bottle of Clean Streak with nothing more than a screwdriver. It's all pretty simple.EDIT: They modified the design slightly to both make it easier to use, and to clean the chain more effectively. I can clean now with half the spray I used to use, and you won't lose the straw.

It is hard to hold the can in one hand, clamp down on the chain, and press the nozzle, but it's possible, and this is the only mechanical chain cleaner on the market that pressure sprays degreaser onto your chain as is it passes through a mechanical cleaner. The results are the best, fastest, and cleanest you will find out there. Plus, the degreaser itself works great on everything else.

Gets the dirt off my chain and cassette.

Works very well. The only downside is too expensive imo.
