Excellent Aviation Headset with Super Car Styling
If you are looking for a great ANR headset, look no further! Most people I know use the Bose A20, and it is indeed a great and very proven headset, however I have this natural bend to always search for something that is different than what everyone else always gravitates toward. As a Motorsports enthusiast this headset really caught my eye, I have always appreciated the look of bare carbon fiber. In person these things look really pro, and have a nice gold metallic logo that is integrated underneath the clear coating (so no worrying about the emblem gradually getting worn away over time). These things are super light! I wore them during a three hour cross country flight the other night and you almost forget they are on your head. I have seen that some complain about wearing them with sunglasses underneath the ear cups/ that the clamping pressure is a little too much. In my experience, I have had no such issue. Audio quality is excellent and the ANR functionality is truly quite effective, though it still allows you to hear enough tone in the engine to know if something were not sounding right. Only slight qualm, and i really do mean slight, the cord length is a little on the short side. For us general aviation flyers, really not an issue, and if anything, and aircraft depending, it may prove to be an advantage with having less cord to get tangled or looped around something. Though, I can see how one may desire a bit more cord length if their aircraft's cabin so demanded. But again for most users this is negligible!Summary: Light, Comfortable, Excellent Audio Quality, Effective ANR,Competitive Pricing, Looks Way Cooler Than The A20's (The Pagani Zonda of Aviation Headsets for those of you who are super car fans ;) )

Cheap wiring that stops working when the warranty expires.
I'm a major airline pilot but I use these for personal use, everything was fine until a month before the warranty expired then the speakers begin severely crackling to the point that I could not use them. That made for an interesting flight. The wiring seems cheap and seems to have issues with where the wiring connects with the noise canceling controls. They are definitely worse/cheaper compared with David Clark wiring.Oct was the 2 year mark when the warranty expired and it being a critical time during COVID I delayed reaching out to Faro until the next month of Nov. The were matter of fact about the warranty being expired and unwilling to help in anyway. Its all to common for Walmart stuff to brake right when the expiration expires, so if you want a Walmart quality wired headset with a Walmart quality warranty and understanding then a Faro headset is a good choice for you.Update: it’s now been an additional 9 moths, I paid 100$ to fix the problem and within a month additional wiring problems are coming up. I like the fit of them, I like the passive noise reduction aspect of them however now they are a paperweight. Thanks for garbage FARO.

yes, its a good headset
A lot of people say this is a high clamp headset, but I have a normal sized head and the headset is very comfortable to wear during my training, the light weight of the headset helps with that and the headset is made very well. Noise-canceling could be better but for 400$ less than a Bose headset, I would recommend this to anyone looking for a competitive ANR headset that wants comfort and all around good value.

Nice headset for the money
I purchased this set in 2018. It worked great. Good noise canceling and battery life. The older models like I bought have an auto shutoff that was problematic. They are replacing that set with one that doesn't automatically shut down. The head tension is adjustable. I wear a 7 1/4 hat and they don't hurt me at all.I have since bought a David Clark 1X which has great noise reduction and a FIVE YEAR WARRANTY. Not sure yet how it compared to the G3 in noise cancelling but I believe the 1X is better. It gets really quiet.

The head clamp is strong with this one.
I currently fly with a Lightspeed Sierra, and we do up to 6 hour legs in conjunction with all-day flying. The Lightspeed is a good headset, but can get uncomfortable past the four hour mark. I was hoping for something a bit lighter that wasn't also a thousand bucks. I had high hopes for the FARO considering the carbon fiber construction (and it is noticeably lighter), but it's let down by the old-fashioned, "DC-clamp" band. I attempted to adjust things a bit, but in getting it loose enough to be somewhat comfortable, you no longer get a good ear seal so you get the wub-wub-wub from the ANR. In the end, I had to switch back to the Lightspeeds after only an hour in flight. As to the tech, it works fine. It sounds a bit more echoey than the LS, but the other pilot thought it sounded fine over the intercom (no unusual hiss or anything). I'm not sure it worked quite as well as the LS overall, but it's hard to say for sure.In the end it's too bad: it's lightweight and otherwise functional, but probably only suitable for small heads (It's been a while since I've worn a fitted cap but I think I'm about a 7.25).

Great value, exactly as advertised
My husband loves this headset, and says it is much better than the $200 one he's been using. It's comfortable, has fantastic noise cancellation, and is of nice quality. Everything works well, and the packaging was nice.Be warned that the case it comes with is terrible, cheap velvet- does not scream $600 AT ALL. You'll need to find a nice case or flight bag to store this headset safely.

Right when I put on the Faro G3 ANR, ...
Right when I put on the Faro G3 ANR, the ear seals and head squeeze made them uncomfortable. I never even took them to the airplane.

Doesn't work after less than five flights
Like the caption says it doesn't work after five flights, the warranty sucks. After the first two flights it sat for six months when I couldn't use it and the headset suddenly had a problem of staying in MONO when it was supposed to be in STEREO modes. It just developed a static problem on this last flight. You might as well buy a headset from TEMU. Save time and money and just buy A30s.DON'T BUY THIS HEADSET.Look at their website to see the customer service you will get when it does break.
