I liked this pack but then...
I liked this pack. Perfect size for a jog, dog walking, bike. Good design for my needs. There are manufacturing issues. YES it is cheap in price, and the material is more than adequate for light to moderate use. However, the main zipper is really poor, so poor it failed and crossed lapped the teeth the first time out of the box. I could very carefully get it to work, but it is a real pain to open and close the main compartment. It is not really useable on a trek if you need to enter without a lot of frustration. Second; The buckles, I suppose they could have found a weaker plastic, but it would have been hard. One broke with a gentle pull. It is tied in a knot now.I CONTACTED THE SELLER, NO REPLY, ZERO. I COULD HAVE JUST THROWN $10.90 OUT OF THE WINDOW OR GIVE TO THE HOMELESS AND FELT MUCH BETTER.2 stars only because I really like the design.

This item had no visible flaws and will work just great for the purpose
I set out to find a simple, relatively small pack suitable for short hikes; just large enough to carry water, hold a clothing item. This item had no visible flaws and will work just great for the purpose. And what a great price when I looked at available products at "named stores" and found similarly sized items from $50-$150.00...wow! Time will tell if it will hold up, but used for it's intended purpose I expect it will last just fine and have no qualms recommending this small pack. Plus Amazon Prime saved a trip to an expensive store and delivered the package right to my doorstep!

Perfect purse replacement
Women will know what I mean when I say my purse keeps getting heavier and heavier. The bigger the bag, the more stuff you cram in there! My back was breaking and I hated lugging it with me. So I decided that a small backpack might be the answer and it was. I have owned this for well over 6 months now and it is still working well for me. It is well made and sturdy. Oddly enough I do not cram it full like I would if it were a purse. I find that I can just bring along my wallet, sunglasses and keys (and a few other essentials) and it works well. It never feels too heavy to carry. The size is perfect. Not very bulky like a full sized backpack and the material is lightweight. I really love it.

the backpack was great - it's small but fits a lot
**Updated review** - my husband was wearing this on our snowmobile trip and it broke. After telling him my review, he thought it was unfair as he was wearing a lot of snow gear and it broke when he got stuck in a snow bank. In terms of the function, the backpack was great - it's small but fits a lot, water resistant, and has a back access pocket.Broke within 30 minutes of our snowmobile trip. I realize it's an inexpensive backpack, but it's advertised as a hiking backpack. I would not use it for any "active" activities.

Bad zipper
It's a very nice simple backpack and that's what I've wanted but I only got this because my old leather backpack zipper broke.I haven't even used this back pack a half of my day before I look down and see the pull tab on this zipper has became completely unraveled.It of course came undone and fell off.The other tabs are doing the same.I haven't even used the backpack and it's been hanging up most of the day...i just need a backpack that has zipoers!

When I received it, I thought it was a thick plastic bag with zippers. I like that it is extremely light weight but the quality wasn't what I expected in person and differ from the descriptions.

... very padded so they would not have been very comfortable after a while
The material was thinner than I expected and the shoulder straps were not very padded so they would not have been very comfortable after a while. This was intended for a day hike which would have required carrying water bottles in the backpack. This backpack would not have been able to handle the weight of the water bottles.
