Archives GTAB-48ST Standard Bound Manuscript Paper Book, Guitar Tab, 48 Pages

I echo the sentiments of the other reviewer: this is a pretty good product at a low price.each page has a row of chord boxes at the top, followed by sets of lines (standard music notation and then tab notation). If you are only using this for TAB then there is quite a bit of wasted space on each sheet (or if you're only using it for standard notation too).Each page is perforated so you can tear it out easily if you wanted to.I only wish it was spiral bound instead of regular binding, but for the price I cant really expect sprial bound.

Everything is great about this notebook. Its exactly what the description says. I've been trying to find something I can carry with me to write tabs. This was perfect. However, note that this is not like a spiral notebook. All the pages tear out but since their are no spirals, the creases that occur when you open and fold the book, make your pages detach and fall out. I would look for a spiral one.

Nice music score paper. I like that the pages have a slight perforation on the inside so I can pull them out of the book to carry in my church folder. Some of the hymns we play are not transposed for my French Horn so I need to transpose them ahead of performance.

Guess I didn't read the reviews well enough. I got this tab paper because I wanted ONLY tab. I have some tab paper that has regular notation and the tab below it - that paper only allows for four lines of music. I have other Archives music paper and knew that the paper was larger than 8 1/2 x 11 (the size of the tab paper I had), so I figured there would be more space... about ten lines for tab. That way I could use just one sheet - front and back - for some songs I am transcribing - rather than five sheets of the other paper. So that's what I got if for.I get it, and it is the same as the paper I already had, only there are more lines (five) and they are longer.. as well as having the chord notation on the top of the page. So, I guess if that is what you want, then it is good.The book I got had had only one staple for binding, and only on the top of the spine. That's ok I guess as I will be tearing out the pages anyway (the pages are perforated for easy tear out).What I ended up doing was adding an extra single line to the top of the regular notation on the regular notation "lines" such that instead of having 5 regular notation and 5 tab notations on each page, I now have 10 tab notation "lines" - and as such, it works great!

Great staff paper. I like the book aspect and the paper quality is very good.

I ordered 4 of these and expected them to come together but I got them all separately for some reason?

This book just wan't for me. First, I dislike how the pages are a cream, "old-fashioned," color. Rather than looking cool and retro, to me they look dirty and old. Second, the perforation on the pages was too weak, and when I would flip to a new page it would tear. I ended up tearing out the pages prematurely to avoid the frustration. Finally, and most importantly, the staff lines are way too wide for me. This forces your compositions to travel to page after page after page. In the space provided, another system could easily have fit.

The description of this manuscript paper is that it has 10 staves and 48 sheets, which is correct. The picture, however, is of a 6 stave book with 64 pages. I ordered from the picture, so was very disappointed to receive my manuscript books. Be sure you want a book that's 8 1/2 by 11" (as opposed to about 5 1/2 by 8 1/2), as that's what you're going to get. I only gave it 3 stars because it was delivered in a timely manner.
