Good product, solid customer service. ANY issues, CONTACT YOLOtek
I read reviews and see that several reviews would probably have been solved if they just reached out to YOLOtek like I did. The instructions are helpful that there is Internal Overheating and External Overheating. Very important to address both. If something doesn’t seem right or not working right, it pays to contact the folks at yolotek

Yolotek GoPro Sun shade.
The media could not be loaded. First impressions of the Yolotek GoPro Sun shade.Straight out of the box I could tell that it will do better than anything a buddy with a 3D printer can make. It has something reflective embedded into the plastic housing that will reflect sun rays and that’s a plus when out on the water all day! They have step by step tutorial on how to get the best running options to lessen the possibility of over heating. Along with these steps and the sunshade I feel like this will have the camera running for a long time. On the back side of the camera it overhangs to cast a shade over the screen so it’s easier viewing in the bright sun.The Fit! The fit is exceptional! You won’t have to worry about this flying off. I was iffy about the bars covering the front screen but with the shade given you can still see what you are doing. My only complaint is that the little stub that secures the shade onto the camera scratches the top on the camera.

Surprising results
I was skeptical about this shield but it really did help disperse the heat and keep my camera operating on hot baseball days

Eh it’s okay
GoPro still overheated and shut off at 25 minute mark of recording. GoPro was mounted on ball fence in the sun with shield on. Fit snugly onto GoPro. Now I have to buy a fan for it to hopefully keep it from overheating at ball games.

GoPro Sun Shade is amazing!!!
This GoPro Sun Shade is great for my Hero 13 with my Contacto power door! I had an issue with the order, so I called their customer service number and actually spoke to a live human being :-) Lane and Christian were awesome and took care of me. Glad to see some people actually stand behind their product nowadays!!!

I think it works but needs more testing
I have been recording baseball games and band parades with the GoPro 10 at 4k 120, Hypersmooth standard and it has been overheating. Bought this and still over heated at those settings. turned it down to 1080p 60 and HS off and it made it through that parade with suction mount on trailing van hood. Not sure if it is HS or resolution that causes overheat. GPS off. Will experiment with settings. I hope it is HS that is the problem because Premiere can take that out post process. Quality is good and doesn't interfere with screw mount as long as going right to left.

Great product for Go Pro overheating
I have just received and used my new Sun Shade on my Go Pro 9 which I use to video Bass Tournament Weigh Ins for my website. This weekend I was able to record almost 2 hours of continuous recording using the Sun Shade on my Go Pro attached to the YoloTek Juice Box in full sun. Previously this would have been quite a challenge without overheating the Go Pro. The Sun Shade fits very securely and does not impede access to the buttons, mount, USB connector or lense. Actually the overhang on the viewing screen helps quite a bit as well to minimize glare on the screen in full sunlight. This was a solid test as I did not remove the internal battery nor did I decrease my image quality on the Go Pro as required before. The Sun Shade-Juicebox combo is a must have for lengthy video recordings using a Go Pro.

Expensive, but they work
Used 2 GoPro in direct sunlight, 90 degrees in FL for several hours and they worked great - no overheating. The next day they had a sun exposure on the back and the GoPros turned off because of heat. You have to cover the back of the GP if you are in direct sunlight on that face of the device. Otherwise, work as advertised. Maybe a white piece of cloth covering the back face would do the trick. Next time I will give it a try.
