Fresh Is Best Freeze Dried Chicken Breast Pet Submissions

My cat thinks these are THE best treats ever! Prefers them to all others I've tried. Their size and shape hold up really well and don't crumble easily like some, yet are easy to break apart to make smaller treats. I hide them all over the house every evening to give my very nocturnal cat a treasure hunt - something to do instead of waking me up to play- and every single one is gone the next morning. They really live up to their name. But...they are Sooooooo expensive.

These treats are reasonably priced and they are not tainted or spoiled. No packaging issues and the product arrived with a good pull date. Our cat likes them and he knows what they are by the sound of the bag being opened. Yup, he's a spoiled cat. I would recommend these treats to other cat owners!

My cats liked this product and ate it as readily as they ate another brand I'd been buying. Only difference I can see is that perhaps the freeze-drying process used by this company differs somewhat from the other brand's process in that the coloring is different and the feel of the product is a little different (the other company's is whiter, already cubed, more "striated" and drier; this brand's coloring varies, is whole strips you have to cut--which is easy to do--and product is not striated. I think the striations (or the "look" of the product) may have something to do with how the chicken is cut initially--with the grain or against the grain of the meat). This product doesn't leave a lot of "crumbs" or flaked off pieces like the other product--which is good. My cats wouldn't eat the crumbs themselves so I just mixed the crumbs with their wet food. Sneaky, I know, but at these prices, waste not, want not. (By the way, this chicken rehydrates well.) The only reason I gave 4 stars is, I'd like to see it already cut into bite-size pieces--it does take time to do it yourself and sometimes it's just another thing that adds to a busy day. I like that the chicken is raised in the US--not sure if it's processed here or not, though. Package doesn't say. I would recommend this product to any chicken-loving cats and owners who want to provide some extra protein or as a treat for being...well, just being a cat.
