Absolutely Worth the Investment – Clean, Great-Tasting Water!
I know this unit comes with a higher price tag, but it’s 100% worth it. The water it produces is clean, crisp, and tastes great. My TDS readings are consistently between 8–11, which is a big improvement compared to my previous system that averaged 25–35.The flow rate is strong, and the booster pump is impressively quiet—most of the time, I don’t even notice it running. I also use this filter for my indoor hydroponic garden, and it’s been a game-changer.This is money well spent. I highly recommend it. It’s a classic case of pay now or pay later—invest in your health today with clean water or take the risk of consuming tap water filled with chemicals that can lead to serious health issues down the line. Take care of yourself. This unit helps make that easy.

A big, classy, industrial-like system...
Waterdrop recently released its new X series reverse osmosis (RO) under-sink, tankless water systems. The X12 can filter up to 1200 gallons a day. The X16, the highest capacity tankless RO system currently available, can filter up to 1600 gallons a day. Both the X12 and the X16 have eleven filtration stages. Both come with a smart faucet with a top dial over LED readouts by which you specify the amount of water you want. The faucet then measures out the ounces of water you desire--an interesting feature if you want to prolong filter life, but also a bit of a nuisance if you just want a drink. Both have a fairly good 3:1 clean water-to-waste water ratio. Both reintroduce minerals at the end of the process. I don't know how this works, but it does keep the water from having a totally bland taste.Though tankless, this is a big, heavy system. The under-sink box containing the filters reminds me of a big old-style tower computer. It's really large and heavy. You must have unswitched power available under your sink to use the system. AC current is necessary both to run the box and to power the smart faucet. There's also a large power brick which must fit under the sink in addition to the filter box.Installation requires three basic steps beyond plugging in the power supply:1) Tapping into the supply line. This is done at the cold water supply valve. If you've never done this before you may find removing and reinstalling the line a bit of a challenge. You must be comfortable dealing with compression fittings.2) Inserting the drain line into the sink drain. This isn't so very complicated, involving only drilling a hole in the drain pipe, placing a saddle around the hole you've drilled and inserting the drain line through the saddle into the drain pipe.3) Perhaps the most intimidating step: you must use a hole saw and drill a large hole in your countertop to place the smart faucet in. For many, this will involve purchasing a diamond-tipped hole saw and sweating out drilling a hole in quartz or granite. This isn't brain surgery, but it's still scary working on an expensive countertop....There's no RO under-sink system that really matches Waterdrop's X systems. These are classy systems capable of cleaning massive amounts of water daily.

Excellent - Great Tasting Water
We needed to upgrade from our previous RO system and chose Waterdrop X12-Basic Tankless RO Water Filter. It was straightforward to install - I have installed our previous RO systems too. It does need to have under sink electricity. The water tastes amazing - great upgrade from our previous unit. This unit has a1200 GPD rating, it easily and quickly produces water. The faucet also looks good on our countertop and monitors TDS levels. Overall great RO system - very happy with it.
