LOVE IT!
So glad I finally got the YakStick! I had been using a 3.5lb. anchor that worked okay, but this has been so much easier for me. I put it through the scupper hole in the front of my kayak and I stay put. I like the fact that I don't move around like my old anchor, & I can pull up to where I want and stake my kayak quietly without spooking any fish. Wasn't sure if it was gonna be tall enough but it is perfect for inshore fishing. I have a Bimini top for my yak and if I went with the taller stake I think it might get more in the way so I am glad I went with the 6 ft. option.

pricy for what it is.... but it works great
This thing is perfect for fishing the flats in the sounds of the Outer Banks of NC! Don't overthink it, just buy it. A bit spendy, but it was worth it because it works.

Works grear
Bought this for my kayak but have also used it for my 20’ bay boat and it’s exceptional. Floats, light weight, and durable. The only con is that the little foam grip below the handle lasted about two hours on the very first use before it ripped off. Otherwise it’s a great piece of gear to add to your yak.

Great for inshore saltwater
Well made and does exactly what I need it to do. I use this for inshore saltwater fishing around Galveston. I use it with an anchor trolley and attach the pole using a bungee rope to keep me stationary. Use the spiky end to stake out and the paddle end to push pole. I'm not sure how durable the tip that goes into mud is, as it's plastic, but time will tell. Really, the only complaint I have is the foam near the top tore off the second or third time I used it, but I don't need it anyway so it's no biggie.

Great purchase for kayak fishing
Works great keeps my kayak right where i want it and it even clips to my anchor trolley. (Clips not included). I hardly ever use my 5lb anchor any more. I stay in water about 2-4 ft most of the time. Its 6ft long so i can really drive it into the mud or sand or whatever. Plus it floats so you wont lose it if it comes untied.

Not sturdy enough for sand!!
We couldn't wait to use our Yak-Sticks. We didn't get to use them last year because the water level was low. After only the second use this year, one broke. The very next weekend the other stick broke. We put in at a sand bar with no wake.

Great, buy 2
this thing is great. It is the perfect length to anchor in place in most of the creeks I fish, and it fits perfectly in my kayak (ascend 12t) when it's not actively in use. It is sturdy enough to hold you in place when the wind is blowing or when in a light current. I suggest buying 2 so that you can have 1 forward of your boat, and rear of your boat to beep you from turning when you dont want to. Great product, would recommend.
