Great way to launch into the game
Coming from the LCG world (I'm an avid Android: Netrunner fan), jumping into a game with booster packs can be a bit harrowing. However, both with the game's technology and the game's mechanics, I have found a game that I'm pretty excited about. From the technology perspective, even if a local play group never develops, my cards aren't wasted--as I can scan them and play online. Once the ap launches fully, I'm sure others will appreciate this. Your cards won't just sit in binders being unused! From a game play perspective, this feels like a modern card game. For those who have played games like Magic or Pokemon, cards have a "mana" or "energy" cost--many times in the way of cards you have to put into your deck. With Warhammer (and it's pokemon-esque cousin, Lightseekers), the concern of being "energy flooded" (too many energy cards, not enough playable cards) or "energy drought" (not enough energy cards to do stuff) goes away.Ultimately, this game is more about timing than a straight escalation of power. Each turn, your cards are coming and going on the battlefield, and as such, knowing when to play a defensive card or when to play a strong offensive card, or when to hold back and just draw cards all lends itself to an interesting experience where the player has to think several moves a head on each turn.As for the product itself, a single booster box will get a player up and running and able to build decks for multiple factions (and for multiple players). To that extent, one booster box could be designed as it's own "card game." Or, it could be the start of jumping into a more competitive scene where the booster box can get you started and then fill in the rest of the collection slowly over time.

Loving this game!
Got the cards early! Will buy again! This game is something else, the best part is that you can play online too.Pros:easy to learnTactical decision makingNo resource systemLots of rares in a pack. Guaranteed rares, foils, champions and blessings in every pack.Small decks needed (only 38 cards are needed to build a deck, you get more than that in 4 packs)Lots of repeatability with just a single deck due to blessing cards and champion placement.Your games never feel the same and a deck never feels stale or over played. (Like mtg)Card qualityBeautiful matte finished backs with spot uv. And an ivory core.Cons:Graphic design is poorThe colors are muted, dark, and similar. Making it hard to tell the difference between factions at times. The borders for the Order faction is the same as the borders for factionless cards.Price point.Even though you get a lot of rares and cool cards in a pack, you only get 13 of them at $6 msrp per pack (ouch).Tcg modelFor some thins is not a con, but for me it is. This means that you need to keep pumping money into the game to keep up with the jones' (so to speak)However; for casual players this is a non issue.Icons can and rotation can be disoentating at times. No deck building rules in starter packs.Rules for deck building are only onlineAll in all this game is great, but I don't see it lasting more than a few years.

Great Game with Great Distribution Model
To get this out of the way this is a 24 pack booster box, since that's not clear from the description. These run $70 to $90 elsewhere so its an awesome deal at the $54 dollars I got it for.The distribution model of this CCG is amazing. The fact that you can scan your physical collection into their digital platform to play is amazing. You also get rewards for using your physical cards in the digital space. The game play itself is deep and addicting. This is one of those games that's easy to understand, but difficult to master. There is a lot of planning ahead. The unique mechanics make it interesting in a growing market of CCGs and digital card games. Its very different from Magic, Eternal, the Elder Scrolls Legends, and Hearthstone (all of which I've played extensively) and that's a very good thing. Even though I've been playing avidly for the past 3 weeks, I feel like there are so many more decks to explore. This is a testament to the great design by the team at Play Fusion.I won't review the digital game here, but it gets the job done currently. With some long term support, Age of Sigmar Champions has a great future ahead of it.

Great card game for Warhammer fans (or even if not a fan)
I recently stumbled into this game (now that it is defunct). It is pretty easy to play right out of the box and the rules are very straight forward (unlike MTG at times). Great art and nice card quality. Game length never feels to long or short.

Fantastic gameplay and card quality! A true contender to MTG!
A true contender to MTG! Fantastic gameplay and card quality! I usually stay away from TCG’s due to the usual drawbacks: costs and player base. The truth is Champions overcomes both of these. The ability to scan your cards into the app means you can also use them online in casual or ranked play; doubling their value while guaranteeing you’ll always have someone to play with.Give this game a shot, you won’t regret it!

Fun but the paper version is dead
For some reason, games workshop decided that they would only release future sets on the digital version. Which is very sad cause it was doing pretty well where I am. there is no point in buying these cards anymore aside from collecting or if you like the art.

You're missing out if you haven't tried this.
My new favorite collectable card game! Lining up your cards through space and time and watching them rotate each turn to trigger powerful combos is so satisfying. The game is easy to learn, gets right into the action and plays super fast, yet has layers upon layers of depth and strategy. I can't recommend this enough.

Extra cards for a fun game
Great price for what is a great card game. The ability to transfer these cards to the online app makes it an even more worthwhile purchase
