Prefacing that I had no (positive) expectations, but this kit changed my mind. Menstrual discs and cups sounded great in theory, but seemed too...involved, but with multiple long road trips scheduled at less than convenient times, I started researching the options. I decided the discs' auto-dumping was more my speed, and opted for the Pixie Cup kit because of the "string" and applicator.While I think the applicator makes setting the disc easy, especially compared to how I imagine it would be by hand, there's still a learning curve. For me, it was lube [the disc], lube [the plunger], and more lube [on the applicator], and standing. Also, the interior wall of the applicator barrel is notched, so I find it's easier to push when the plunger is inserted past that point at the start.

Amazing easy to use better than the cup

I wanted to give this a good try through 2 months of use. Overall, this kit was a major upgrade after struggling with a standard menstrual cup, primarily because my long, sharp nails made insertion really frustrating (they’re great for opening Amazon boxes, not so much for internal origami). The disc style was easier for me to wear, and the included applicator is an absolute must-have if you also like your claws. I followed the instructions to aim sort of lower/back rather than inserting "up" and pulled the applicator out part way before using the tip of it to pop the disc up behind the bone area. It is truly one of those things where you just have to bite the bullet and get messy and try it a few times lol.I watched a video online about inserting and learned about the cervix and placement, etc. (I guess its about time being late 30s, lol). I found the disc comfortable once in place. No leaks. I find I only wear this for 1-2 heavy days because then it gets so light for me that I don't need anything. The feminine wash is a nice touch, but what really sold me on the full set were the applicator, and the steamer. It gives me peace of mind knowing such an intimate item is truly sanitized before and after each use, especially since it's stored in the bathroom. There are instructions on how to trim and file the tail down if preferred, but again due to the fingernails issue, I require the tail to be accessible for easy removal, but I honestly couldn't feel it while it was in there.This disc was definitely more flexible and soft than the cup i tried previously. Overall I would say this kit is an absolute win. A little pricey, but worth it for the completeness and convenience of the kit. If you’re disc-curious or have struggled with cups, this is a thoughtfully designed bundle that addresses a lot of common barriers.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much from this, I've tried cups before and they just never fit right. The Pixie disc looked promising with the shape, along with the applicator, so I decided to give it and try.The first thing I will mention and why I took off a star is the applicator itself. Ouch! Look, we're women. We come in alllll different shapes and sizes. I'm not small by no means but I feel like even a smaller lady would struggle with this. It's so hard to push and TMI but you have to get your hands all up in that area to grab onto it and push. A tampon can be put in with one hand yet this process takes three or four! Even with the easy insert lubrication doing it's thing, it was so difficult to push that I ended up just not using it at all.Moving on to the actual star of the show, the disc! I found the larger size to work perfectly while the smaller one didn't work for me at all. Meaning I just have an extra that isn't going to see use at all. I know, test fitting and all means this can happen, just feels like a waste. Not a complaint though. It's easier to insert these with a scooping motion, that way they sit where they need to.The steamer is a good addition to the collection, honestly. It works really well and sterilized the cups in a saferannee that boiling them. Loved that.Both the lubrication and the wash were easy to use and did the job better than expected plus I had no irritation with my overly sensitive skin. I will say the wash has such an.....odd scent to it. I know it's just used to wash a menstrual disc but it lingers on the skin after use and I wasn't a big fan of that. But on the same note, some scents can be irritating to the downstairs area so in the end, not a big complaint there.The wipe samples? Phenomenal. I'm hooked. I've never had a feminine wipe not irritate the crap out of me. Took a chance with these during a bit of an emergency at a rather crappy location (a seriously busy mall) and to my surprise, no irritation! No rancid scent, no overly perfumed scent, honestly they were just perfect. I'm hooked and already purchased a pack to keep in my purse.And finally, the linen bags. I adore this extra touch and use it in my travel bag every month. Makes things so much easier and cleaner.I conclusion, I absolutely stand by this disc, it works as intended and the extras are wonderful for sensitive peoples with my only complaint being the applicator. Will be buying more from Pixie!

I had been using menstrual cups for years and decided to give the discs a go. So far, more comfortable and easier to insert and remove. Such a convenience and plus that it comes with the entire kit. The sanitizer, applicator, soap cleaner… amazing deal all around. One of my favorite “functions” of this disc is its self empties when you use the bathroom. Easy to clean, easy to wear, just so convenient and comfortable. I’m so glad I came across this kit. I definitely recommend.

I have been a menstrual cup user for over 15 years and as of the last year, have used discs. While it’s a similar concept, the insertion and removal are vital to not making a mess or leak. The ‘string’ on the discs in this set was a new thing to me but it got in the way so I snipped it shorter. I love that this kit includes all the things you’ll need to get started in the menstrual disc journey. I’ve never needed or used the insertion tool but it’s great to have to keep your hands and fingers clean. I keep the steamer in my bathroom and steam clean my cup at the end of my period so it’s smell and stain free before the next use.
