Does this work on african american hair care?

I have 4C African American hair. It was very damaged with lots of split ends. I used the damage erasing balm the last time I washed my hair and it came out really nice! I had left it on for about 30 minutes with a shower cap. Today I used the Total Repair shampoo followed by the damage erasing balm. I only left the balm on for about 5 minutes in the shower. The 2 products together were amazing. Although I had the normal shrinkage, with the shampoo and balm, my hair just looked like unraveled ropes when I stepped out of the shower. Normally it shrinks up like a sponge when it's wet. I put the Total Repair balm on while I was in the shower and combed it through with my fingers and then a wide toothed comb. I could tell my hair wasn't shrinking up as much as usual. I used about 1/2 of the jar for my jaw length hair. After I rinsed it out, I combed it again but there were no tangles. It really looked like a rope mop and was soft, silky and SHINY-sweet! I made 4 plaits in front and 4 in back. Then I used a bead of Pantene ProV Breajage Defense Strengthening Lotion and 1-2 drops of Avlon Silk n Silk serum to blow dry each plaited section. It took mere seconds to dry each section using the Silverbird dryer with comb attachment. There was NO hair- zero hair in the wide toothed comb or the dryer comb. WHAT?!! I think I'll have to stock up too :-)

How often do you use it?

You should not use it more than once a week. Too much protein and/or moisture can actually damage your hair and make it worse in the long run

How do you use it? Does it go on dry?

Its like conditioner, you can put it on dry hair (saturate hair completely), I combed it thru, leave on for 5 or 10 minutes and rinse, or after shampoo (leave on few minutes and rinse)

before getting in shower, can I wet my dirty hair put this in on my hair leave in for 30 min, then get in shower rinse shampoo and use my condioner?

That’s called pre-pooing, you can condition before and after wash, how often you should do that depends on your hair type in texture. Personally I buy a cheap shampoo to pre-poo with then I use my better conditioner after.

This product is top of the line; the value is incredible. It works just as well as products 3 times the cost. The smell is enjoyable, but not overwhelming, and will not interfere with your perfume. When you are finished, you will keep touching your hair constantly because you won’t believe how soft, supple, luscious, and bouncy your hair becomes after using, even just once. Some products of the specific formula line difficult to find in be US, so I just ordered this one part of the set. Because availability is simpler, I combined this product with the conditioner and pre-treatment of the Redken Acidic Bonding Ccnditioning line. As I have gotten older, my hair has turned white great only around the edge of my hairline. As a result, I color my hair light blonde to match my natural color (before grey). This product helps keep my hair soft, supple, and tangle-free, which is really important. I have very fine thin hair, and it’s very easy to saturate my hair in products resulting in a oily mess. I have to be careful about which products and how much I use in my hair. There is a very long list of products that are great, but in my hair they leave it instantly oily. Amazingly, this product does not leave my hair feeling way down or oily When I use it. Keep in mind, that when I use it, I have already used other products as well I have very fine straight, thin, blonde hair, and my son has super sick tight curls and this product works fantastic and meets all of our needs despite our hair being the complete opposite.You will love it!
