Home Deli Slicing on a Budget
Looking to skip the deli counter and achieve restaurant-quality sliced meats at home? I recently bought the Elite Gourmet EMT-625B Electric Deli Food Meat Slicer, and here's my experience:Pros:Affordable Option: This slicer is priced significantly lower than high-end models, making it attractive for home cooks who want occasional deli-style slicing.Adjustable Thickness: The slicer offers a good range of thickness adjustments, from razor-thin to half-inch slices, allowing you to customize for sandwiches, salads, or jerky.Easy to Use: The controls are simple and straightforward. It comes with an on/off switch and a knob for adjusting the slice thickness.Compact Design: The slicer doesn't take up too much counter space, making it suitable for smaller kitchens.Detachable Blade for Cleaning: The stainless steel blade is removable for easier cleaning although it does make a mess.Cons:Limited Power: This slicer might struggle with very dense meats or thick cuts. Not Ideal for Heavy Use: Some reviewers mentioned concerns about the motor overheating with prolonged use. It's better suited for occasional slicing tasks.May Not Be Stable with Heavy Meats: The slicer can feel a bit lightweight when handling larger or heavier cuts of meat.Cleaning Can Be Tricky: While the blade is detachable, cleaning around the food carriage can be a bit messy, especially in the screw holes underneath the blade, (which is easily removeable)Overall:The Elite Gourmet EMT-625B is a decent budget option for home cooks who want to enjoy occasional deli-style sliced meats, cheeses, or vegetables. It's easy to use, adjustable, and compact. However, keep in mind its limitations: it may not handle heavy duty slicing tasks and might require more cleaning effort. Here are some additional things to consider before buying:How often will you be using the slicer? What types of foods do you plan to slice?Do you have limited counter space? How important is a high-powered slicer for frequent use?If you're a budget-conscious home cook looking for a basic slicer for occasional use, the Elite Gourmet EMT-625B could be a good fit. But for frequent slicing or heavy-duty tasks, you might want to consider a more powerful and stable slicer.

Has paid for itself
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. He uses it frequently. The machine has already paid for itself in savings on deli purchases. My husband buys block cheese & cuts it himself, & freezes it. It cuts pretty good & seems sturdy. We do have to cut the items in batches; sometimes it can smell like it might be getting a little hot. But overall it is a good value for the money.

Slice deli meats at home !
I recently purchased the Elite Platinum Premium Electric Meat Slicer, and it has truly transformed my kitchen experience. From the moment I unboxed it, I was impressed by its sturdy, die-cast aluminum construction. Unlike other slicers I've tried, this one feels robust and built to last.Using it is incredibly straightforward. The adjustable thickness feature is a game-changer, allowing me to effortlessly switch between razor-thin slices for charcuterie boards and thicker slices for hearty sandwiches. I’ve sliced everything from salami to hard cheeses, and the results have consistently been perfect.Cleaning is a breeze, thanks to the removable serrated blade. I appreciate that it’s designed with convenience in mind—there's no complicated assembly or disassembly process. The non-slip base gives me confidence while slicing, making the entire experience feel safe and controlled. If you’re looking for a practical and efficient kitchen accessory, I highly recommend the Elite Platinum Meat Slicer. It’s a worthwhile investment that not only saves time and effort but also elevates your culinary presentations. Whether you’re treating yourself or searching for a thoughtful gift, this slicer is sure to impress.

Don't believe what the company ad copy says!
Buy a different brand and save yourself some frustration. Whoever wrote the ad copy never tried to use slicer. It worked okay the first two times I used it. I did discover that yes, the blade unscrews and can be washed separately, but meat has a lot of fat, which is harder to get clean on the other parts of the unit. So, no, it is not easy to clean as a whole; just the blade is easy to clean. The rubber feet do not cling to the granite counter so the unit slides as you use it. I also noticed that the blade is not slicing anymore after only using it twice a month for 7 months to thin slice turkey meat; I get some slices but more is being torn into small scraps. When looking at the "stainless steel blade," half of the teeth are flattened, which explains the tearing instead of slicing. All in all, this is Chinese junk!

Easy to use and clean
This meat slicer is a great introduction into having a slicer. I didn’t really want to spend a lot until I was sure we could use one. My first use was actually slicing some homemade sourdough bread with a too hard exterior. Definitely worked better than the electric knife while being able to get thinner, more consistent cuts. Used it to make shaved pork loin roasts for sandwiches. There’s a learning curve to figuring out how to hold what you’re slicing in order to get even cuts. Never did get it right on the shaved meat, but thicker meat slices are easier to keep consistent. It was very easy and relatively self explanatory to set up. The blade sharp and is easy to pull out to clean. The platform is meant to stay level with the blade when not in use significantly reducing the risk of accidentally cutting yourself. I’ve been very pleased so far.
