Long and light
Crazy light for its 18' length. Pricey, but worth it. Pro quality and seems like it will last. Way better handling than telescoping models I've used. And when you don't need all three sections, its even better at 12' and light as a feather at 6'. The included blade is sharp and effective. To me, its way better than my heavy, unweildy, expensive 10" Milwaukee pole saw.

This saw is awesome.
This saw is super sharp! I bought a "cheap" $44 Fiskers pole saw locally hoping that it would be enough, but I knew it was getting returned when I made my first cut with it. I have a couple Corona hand saws that cut very well, very little effort needed, so I know what a good blade feels like vs a bad blade. This NOTCH blade is awesome! Every bit as good as the Corona razortooth type saws I'm used to. I've also bent it almost in half a couple times and it pops right back into shape with no permanent bend. The poles also seem very well made and snap together nicely. I had no problems with the blade fitting onto the head like some other reviews... maybe some fakes or defects out there? Everything fits together well on my saw. The head is just a tad loose in the pole, so I made wrap a layer of tape around it to take up the slack, but that's more of an OCD thing. This is absolutely worth $109. It paid for itself the first 30 minutes I used it. I'm glad I skipped the $80~90 big box store pole pruners and went straight to this professional quality saw for not much more money. These solid fiberglass poles with metal ends should hold up better than the telescoping style fiberglass poles.FYI- Notch is an American company, and this saw is made in Taiwan, not China.

Sturdy and well designed
I have a telescoping Corona pole with combination saw and cutter--but wanted a plain saw pole for getting into some tighter spots. The Notch pole itself is similar in size and weight, but it's superior in the following ways:1) Modular vs. telescoping poles--the Notch poles fit together with a very easy and secure snapping system. The head is held on with the same system. The Corona telescoping system has a tendency to slip--and if you tighten it too much, it's hard to undo.2) So the Notch system lets you use just one or two poles if you don't need the full length--which is a lot lighter.3) It also means that you can TAKE THE HEAD OFF easily for storage and cleaning. The Corona saw/lopper combo head is not removable at all (there's a YouTube video of a guy replacing one and it requires power tools).4) Although you can remove the blade on the Corona head, it uses a bolt and a screw and requires a wrench and screw driver. The Notch head has a wing nut and a fixed pin--really easy to remove and also more secure. (I'm putting a wing-nut on the Corona, now that I see how much better it works.)Saw is quite good, too.

Buy with confidence!
I'd been looking for a pole saw for QUITE some time and had gone to a friend's house who happened to have a Stihl pole saw that was a beast (he let me saw off a branch or two). He told me to not waste my money on the cheaper ones since they just didn't work as well, and I was inclined to believe him - especially after reading reviews of several saws. I saw the Notch recommended in a couple of pole saw reviews (like "Top 10 Pole Saws") and checked out the Amazon reviews. Pretty highly rated, but my biggest concern was people who said the holes didn't line up on theirs and they had to drill out holes. I figured I would take a chance (based on probability and the sheer number of good reviews - and the fact I could always return it) and it paid off. This thing seems to cut as good as the Stihl I used, was easy (relatively) to assemble and sharp as a razor. This is like grim reaper kinda deal, and I am pretty sure you would just die if you like dropped the blade on year head. But danger aside, everything locked into place and I had my first branch down within seconds. Small branches are laughingly easy, big branches come down with ease, and I'm pretty sure I could compete with a chainsaw (and win) in many situations. There is definitely some technique to properly using these things, the biggest thing being not trying to saw a branch that has too much give to it far from the trunk. If you get close to the trunk you can take anything down, too far out and you will have issues. The key takeaway is this is best suited for complete branch removal vs. just trimming a branch (and this is true for all pole saws like this). The thing to lock the poles together is definitely a little difficult to raise up - there is probably a recommended way to do this easily, but I've been just raising the tab up with my fingers. It CAN be hard to line up the holes if you don't get lucky, especially if you are attaching the third pole and have do deal with 12 feet of pole hanging out one side and 6 feet on the other, but this is the nature of attaching poles together, not a unique challenge with this saw.I have no regrets, and I looked for pole saws for a looooooooooooong time before taking the plunge on this one. You don't have to read the millions of reviews, I did that for you and can heartily recommend this saw. If you get it and have an issue, send it back and get a different one because they make excellent saws. Once you see how easy the first branch comes down, you will immediately realize that you are now the king of your yard and all trees will bow down in reverence (or cower in fear) every time you walk by.

Excellent pole saw - sharp blade and can easily reach very high areas.
I have been using this pole saw to cut tree limbs that are very high up. The blade is very sharp and sturdy and easily cuts through branches. It is not hard to assemble. With all 3 extensions it has some expected flexing, but still acceptable to do the job. It definitely requires some upper arm/body strength to use it. However, I am a 70 year-old reasonably fit male and have little difficulty using it.

Worth it
Just got this and put it together. I've been trimming so many branches way way up off the ground for the past two days. The saw is super sharp and goes through small branches with ease. Larger branches still take some work - but it's a good workout.I got a quote from an arborist and they wanted $7000 to prune my giant silver maple. This little purchase as saved me thousands. Cutting tree limbs is my new favourite hobby!

Excellent Product
Professional quality tools. I have purchased more than one and the quality is always there. Good value, packaged correctly, and the same as from the arborist store. Thanks

Good bang for the buck
For the price, (it was on sale for about $160) it does a fantastic job. I used it for a day around the house.Might even serve as light duty for a landscaper.Overall impressed.

Worth every cent
This has saved me a fortune in arborist expenses. At full extension it's a bit heavy, necessarily so because you don't want any flex in those poles, but with some effort it will get through branches more than 6 inches in diameter. In the past I've used several powered pole saws, all of them too heavy to extend further than about twelve feet and very prone to chain entanglement. This is a far more practical option.

Razor Sharp Tree saw - use with caution
very sharp - did exactly what I had hoped it would be.the blade came in a wrapper, however there is no shield included to store the bladehad to use a file to correct a small flaw in order to get the blade securely attached to the pole.
