SCOTTeVEST Featherweight Vest for Men - 16 Hidden Pockets - Lightweight Water Repellent for Travel & More

The ScotteVest has been on my radar for a while. I hesitated because I was afraid it would look really dorky on me. Finally, I bought the Featherweight version for a Safari trip to Africa.I have to say that it actually looks quite nice (as much as that's possible considering the wearer) and allows me to safely store all sorts of documents, money, phone, earbuds, e-reader, etc, etc. The carrying capacity of the vest is particularly useful when carry-on luggage is restricted (like on the small plane safari flights).The choice of the featherweight version was the right one for me - not just for a warm destination like Africa. It's substantial enough to provide some warmth without being too stifling. The only downside is the price, but you get what you pay for. Also, there is always the risk of taking it off and leaving it behind; not that I would ever do that (sigh).

First of all thank you Amazon prime for prompt 2 day delivery,I needed this vest ASAP and did not want to pay an arm and a leg for. Fast shipping. It would be cool if Amazon would accept scottvets coupon codes by the way.I have a classic vets that I love but it is a lot heavier than this one of course you only have 11 pockets but the seemed to be well placed and big enough, sometimes when you have to many pockets it might be harder to find something fast...... It is definitely a lot lighter than my older one..I have many items from scottvets and love them all, I do somethings wish the shirts and pants came in bigger sizes though.. The vest is enormously practical not only going through airport security and. With all the restriction in carry on luggage but also on a daily travel day.mit looks good not bulky and gives a little extra wind protection also.The only negative I have at this point is the color choice, I went with the grey blue due to it not showing every stain as the khaki one would and black is just to hot to wear in hot clima. I wish the would make a red , green and. A brighter blue one in the future.If I encounter any issue for whatt I bought it for I will add to my review

A great vest. Everything in the ad was true..... great workmanship and tons of pockets. It's has great style too. Probably overpriced, but then again, there's nothing like it on the market.

Sizing:I ordered both a medium and a small. I'm 5'10, slim build, 32 waist, 145lbs and found that the small fit well and did not look sloppy, although I initially ordered medium based on the recommended sizing.You'll notice quite a few people thought these ran large based on the 'Fit as expected'.Construction:Really light weight, but still provides a bit of warmth as a layer. At the same time, I don't think I will feel hot in a warmer climate with the thin material.Zippers seem to work just fine so far.Value:This is a really pricey item, but well made and the first travel trip was a good success carrying a lot of items; phone, reading glasses, charger, snacks, earbuds, ID, etc.It worked well to drop this with all my stuff in a bin for TSA check and to retrieve a few minutes later.Off in 2 days for trip 2.At this point 5 stars for the product, but 3 for the value as it seems pricey for what it is.

I like this vest because it has enough pockets and won't drive you crazy looking for which pocket you put your stuff. It is water repellent but is not water proof so you do get some moisture seeping through in the rain. I used it for 8 weeks while traveling through Scandinavia and it was not too heavy to wear on a warm days above 70 F. All good with this purchase

I bought the featherweight vest a year ago and it's holding up pretty well. I bought it for the weight and a reasonable number of pockets. There are many good points: the exterior chest pockets are deep and can handle a large smartphone, small notebooks and passports; The length is near the hip so it avoids binding when sitting or driving; The hand pockets are roomy and deep as well; The interior pockets are good for many things including books, folding knife, compass, etc. The zippers are pretty good as well although they can get caught in the pocket material which is light and flexible - nothing is perfect in life. I'm getting another one so I can switch fast when one needs washing.

Loved the vest, but it was a bit to large for me. I ordered a large, and it is just fine.
