30 min to replace it and didn't have to cut the chain
Never work on Derailleur but the bike didn't have the guard so it bent after few falls. Google YouTube and these "expert" want you to cut the chain so I was prepare to do so but boy I was wrong. There were like couple screws holding the 2 flywheels - I flip 100 of tractors so I knew right off the back there is no way that you need to cut the chain to replace this Derailleur!Take lots of picture on the chain connection or rotation direction before perform the changetake both screw out and the external bracket came off and put the chain back in and tie it down. You don't have to tie it all way down at first, once you get it going & mount it then you will have lots of space to work on.Adjusting the Derailleur is pain in the butt, high limit, low limit but couldn't get the tension right for shift for now. At least my son can ride it.

Cheap but gets the job done
Bought this to replace a derailleur on a mongoose banish. Its pretty easy to install, just a bolt to mount to the hangar. Instead of breaking the chain to thread it, i just popped one screw off the cage. Worked just fine. Its not of the higest qualoty, but for a realtively cheap bike and cheap part, it shufts the gears just fine. Indexing it is easy too. The h and l screws turn easy and are easily accessible. All in all, im happy with it. The test is to see how long it will last when a kid abuses it daily.

Works Flawlessly!
I buy used bikes (cheap ones) and rebuild them into working, fully functional bikes for less fortunate people that I donate them to. So sourcing inexpensive, but reliable parts is crucial, and this derailleur fits the bill perfectly for this particular rebuild! It looks great, works perfectly and shifts like a dream! I'd recommend to anyone needing to complete an inexpensive rebuild. 5 stars, will purchase again!

Derailleur failed spectacularly on first use!
I ordered this derailleur because it looked exactly like the the one that had been installed from my son's bike that had failed. In retrospect, I realize how bad of an idea this was.The derailleur was installed by a competant bicycle mechanic, and on his bike stand the gear moved fluidly on all 7 gears on the bike. I then took the bike off the stand and rode a grand total distance of 300 feet to the end of my street, and the entire mechanism bent and shattered, separating from the it's main pivot point just below where it mounted to the bike frame.Highly recommend avoiding this derailleur and looking for a better built option.

36 hours of my life.
Shifting doesn't work but imma make it work. I knew nothing about this starting out and thanks to YouTube I now know I know even less than I thought I did. Installed it without a video, messed it up, installed with a video, messed it up, asked chat got what in doggos name I should do and it said thread the shifter line through the little cylinder hole on the left (upside down bike right) of the logo (derailleur casing) and then tighten in the bolt with its little space for the line. Finally got it right because I miss aligned the chain. I need to watch an adjusting video for this to get the shifting right and once I do that it should be good. I have bent the derailleur 6 times trying to get it to work, not a problem for my pliers. I can't wait to grease everything up and have it running smoothly for the preperation to evolve into an E-bike. Ill be upgrading the derailleur before that because I know this cheap one is just a temporary fix, it's doing it's job to get me from home to work and back.

It was the exact part on my bike
I learned a lesson, when you shift your bike. You're not supposed to go from high gear to low gear all at one time. My old derailleur broke bad when I did that! This is exactly the same part that was on my bike before. I had to take it to a bicycle repair shop to get it installed. It didn't have the screw that attached it to the gears so they had to manufacture one of those only. It works beautifully now.
