The Definition of Durable and Functional
I type this review as I am getting ready to purchase another one of these cases - not because the old one blew up. I'm purchasing another one because I don't know how I could survive without this bag and want a back up in case this is discontinued for some reason. This bag was purchased in late 2009. I bought it to carry my work lap top computer, and multiple other supplies. What attracted me to it was the shoulder strap. It's intended purpose was to carry my lap top, note book, business card holder, multiple computer/iPod connections, Blackberry chargers/connections, pens, and other various items.Initially I estimated I would be buying a similar replacement a couple times per year. I was wrong. This bag has been through thousands of miles of airline travel (1K+ traveler), not including travel by car. Additionally, it is carried daily during the work week - sometimes as many as 20 hours per day over my shoulder. My job requires much travel, and much walking through hospitals. Even with a lap top, power cord, and tons of paper training supplies it is still comfortable to carry. Worst case I break out the shoulder strap to alleviate some of the pressure.I have to carry a lot of junk with me. Multiple folders with paperwork, computer power cord and computer, multiple computer adapters and hook ups. This bag has swallowed them all. I own the black version, and while it isn't super stylish leather it serves it's purpose but still looks good when I'm wearing slacks, tie, and cufflinks. Almost all the time I travel, the bag is filled to its limit. I have to squeeze the bag together to get the zippers to close. Numerous times over the years, I've just been waiting for it to rip or tear seams or ruin the zipper due to this process. Over two years in use - so far this hasn't happened.I wear many hats and do whatever it takes to get the job done, from front line work to accomplishing my regional manager required work. Sometimes my travel requires a huge piece of luggage, a 60 pound tool kit,my M17 bag, and more. The shoulder strap serves its purpose in this case. I can simply strap it over my shoulder to free up hands so I can pull my roller luggage, have a spare shoulder for the large tool kit, and strap another smaller piece of luggage over the extended handle of my luggage. I can carry 4 heavy pieces of luggage to the check-in counter with ease - due to the shoulder strap. In a nutshell I'm really pointing out the durability of this bag. Really I'm amazed. In the age of "cheapness" this bag has shocked me. Shoes are cheap, phone holders are cheap, nothing seems to last long anymore. Even what is advertised as durable turns out to be junk. For over two years now, I've been waiting for the zippers to break on this. So far the only damage is this:1) One of the plastic tabs on the zipper straps came off. However - the "cords" for the zipper are still in place?! How does this happen? I still yank on the plastic tab free cords to close my bag and they have not come apart and the pull cord is still in place - after over 2 years. Also - no tears in the bag. Long story short, I'm very hard on stuff and this bag survives. 2) The only damage is just visual - somehow I got some "scratches" in the bag but none of my contents were ever damaged. No rips, no "zipper cords" missing, no missing pieces except for one small 1/2 inch plastic tab.Honestly, I can't think of one negative factor or even a way to improve the bag. It has many separate pockets (more than I will ever use), not a hint of a torn thread even to this day, comfortable padded shoulder strap plus "crossover shoulder strap", huge carrying capacity, everything is padded, and only one tiny plastic piece has broke which didn't affect functionality.I wish everything today was made with the same attention to quality, durability, functionality, and look.

A Very Nicely Designed and Constructed Laptop Case
After purchasing a Naneu Pro Military Ops Alpha backpack for my Canon EOS 50d DLSR camera and accessories, I set out to find a laptop bag for my 17" HP Laptop. After many hours researching literally dozens of cases, I returned to Naneu Pro and purchased their Military Tech M-17 and could not be happier. Has five full length zippered compartments, three are full depth (about 12"), other two are more than 9" deep. Has a well padded sleeve for the laptop, with a velcro strap to secure it. It's padded between compartments so it could actually transport three 17" laptops. Has 5 CD pockets large enough for plastic cases, 2 netted pockets, 2 pen sheaves, and an MP3/cellphone compartment with headphone grommet. Plenty of room for just about anything you'd wish to carry. It has three ways to carry it, briefcase style with padded handle, padded shoulder strap, or backpack strap with yet another MP3/cellphone compartment and a velcroed wallet size pocket. Very easily converted from one to the other. Also has strap to attach to wheeled luggage. Constructed of water resistant ballistic nylon, all double stitched. Very high quality material and the workmanship is superb, have yet to find so much as a loose thread in any of their products. Lifetime warranty for original purchaser. You can check out their entire line from point and shoot camera bags to full Safari type backpacks [...]
