Taiji Fencing Principles, Vol. 1

Worth the price!
This is a great book on the sword. The principles outlined apply with any sword not just the straight sword. Having knowledge of the straight sword/Jian and its use will help. This book is a good supplemental read to have on top of training the sword with an actual instructor, which is what I have done. The book is broken down and organized in a step by step process that I think allows a person to more easily digest the information.

Sharpening, ettiquite and all in-between.
Very well written! Casually delivered as if sitting and talking. The Author navigates and manifests ancient wisdom, with timeless principles- into a true, intuitive, ongoing process. Wonderful insights and principles that would serve one throughout life. With each peruse, a new aspect presents itself to consider. This text is rich body of work that is very concise, and lends a measure of science to the sword itself. The sword is much more than an instrument* This is a wealth of knowledge and thought that will always closely adorn my bookspace.

Five Stars
This is an excellent treatise on the art of Wudang sword, and martial philosophy more generally.

Not at All Useful
First off, the author misrepresents himself by using a Chinese name "conferred upon him" by his master. The book has no useful information about taiji fencing, and is poorly illustrated.
N**.
Eloquently worded and hard to put down.
A foundational text that every Taiji fencing practitioner should own.
