My choice of hair appliances is Gold N Hot, but one time I was away and needed a flat iron so I bought a purple Remington at a CVS. It was the best flat iron I purchased. It did better than my gold n hot which I felt didn’t get hot enough. So when the purple one died and had to get another, and this product is hotter than the purple one I had.I have 4B hair and with a good blow dry, I only have to pass this through my hair one time to get it pin straight. Then I curl my hair in 8 sections and it’ll last me 10-14 days, depending on what I’m doing. Hair I smooth and has a nice shine. I use two different heat protectors because of the blow dry and the flat iron, which gets very hot.

Hello, first of all I bought it because I was wearing g. A. M. A and they burned very quickly, so I decided to go for another brand, I saw it and I loved the color, it is just like the photo. It heats up instantly and has a sound that alerts you when you can use it. Secondly, if you want to use it with wet hair, you press and hold the power button and the blue LED screen appears and it is ready to use. I have abundant and thick hair and with the temperature at 230° it leaves it impeccable without frizz and it doesn't bulge, which is the most important thing for me. My mom and I use it and I can make curlers with it because it is thin, the cable is rotatable, and it does not heat up from the outside, that is, where the hand goes to manipulate it, it does not heat up, but closer to the heat plates, yes, it is inevitable! I reiterate, it is very reliable, I love the color, it is easy to use, I recommend it 100%.

This hair straightener was alright, but it's incredibly basic and I feel like it dries out my hair. I used to really like Remington products, but lately, I think they have been dropping the ball. Their products last longer meaning they don't completely go out on you, but they are using cheaper materials, and they don't provide a benefit to your hair, more like they just do the most basic function of whatever the thing is. So this hair straightener is better than say having no straightner, but it didn't add shine, it wasn't pleasant to use (I get burned every time I use it. You can't like grip down on your hair with it cause it gets incredibly hot all over.) I had to go over and over and over spots and then it got static and dried out my hair. It also smells awful, like that burning plasticy smell that should go away after the first couple times, and on the highest setting youcan smell burnt hair. My hair would straighten on a lower setting and then it smells burnt on the highest. The lock button is a pain and it sticks and is finicky and trying to lock will also get your burned cause again the whole unit gets so hot everywhere that you cant touch it without burning yourself. It is on the lower price side, so I understand you're gonna get what you pay for, I am just extremely disappointed with this straightner and now I find myself hardly ever straightening my hair cause it just isn't a good experience using this hair straightener.So ehh, I wouldn't recommend. I definitely wouldn't buy it again either.
