This was my first time purchasing a deluxe edition, I have read the paperback manga of Fullmetal but thought how different it could be...Glad I bought this, it gives a really premium feel, paper quality is definitely exponentially better than the original format manga, plus the color art pages at the start of book are also too good...Although on the front cover there were some scratches, but it's not noticeable much so I am ignoring that...Received at the date they said I would, plus packaging was also done well so corners were intact, If the scratches weren't there I would be more happy...It's a must for any FMA fan...

The Fullmetal edition of the FMA manga is fantastic value considering what it is. Intended to be a deluxe edition of the critically acclaimed manga, this is probably the best bet for collectors right now. If you're looking to buy the manga, you have 3 options: the 3 in 1 editions; standard volumes; and this, the Fullmetal edition. The most economical option is technically the 3 in 1, but the paper quality is so terrible, it should not be considered.The Fullmetal edition is sold at the price of 2 standard volumes but only contains the chapters for 1.5 leaving roughly a 25% markup. In place of the missing chapters, the Fullmetal edition adds a well-designed hardcover and uses very high quality paper stock. In fact, the paper is described as archival quality; whether that means to museum standards or just high standards is unclear but I expect it will last a very long time.So is it worth the markup? I think so; it provides a strong collecting option that also ends up as one of the best reprints of the original work for reading. The paper should hold up better under re-reads as well. The only people I wouldn't recommend this to are people who are new to the series; you should find out if you like the series before you pay a markup for the books.

Solid quality book, however received a copy with a damaged spine, looks like it's been scratched and some of the letters are peeled off.

I'm a fan of this series but I didn't buy any mangas of FMA before and seriously this edition is perfect for real! The sketches included the quality of the paper. It's a hardcover manga. It's bigger I definitely recommend this edition for anyone who wants to start FMA or just love the series and what some beautiful pieces of work!

Good quality book. For people who do not know the binding is meant to be on the right side.

The Fullmetal edition is such a beautiful book! The paper, the cover the art- all amazing!
