Interesting Core Idea, But Very Shallow Execution
Essentialism presents a valuable idea: the importance of prioritization and deliberate focus in an increasingly noisy world. However, the book feels stretched far beyond its natural weight.Rather than deep exploration, the author relies heavily on repetitive personal anecdotes, moralistic but vague advice, and name-dropping of historical figures with little critical analysis. While the initial concept is inspiring, the execution lacks rigor and depth—closer to an extended TED Talk than a serious philosophical or practical work. Those looking for a thoughtful, systemic exploration of living intentionally may find themselves frustrated by the simplicity and padding.Useful if you want a reminder to "prioritize,"but not satisfying if you seek real structural wisdom or growth.

What is essential? What is your passion?
It's great for understanding you should focus but not much on the root issue which is how do you find you passion which then can be your compass on figuring out what is really essential.
